When Golden gets fired, how long does it take for the new coach to gets us back to national relevance?? Is the roster stacked enough to come in and win immediately?? Still think too many roster holes to do that. Think the 2015 class falls apart (Scarlett, Williams, etc. look elsewhere). Could possibly salvage some of 2016 but is going to take some time to build relationships. We looking 3-5 yrs out? Can't take being this irrelevant for this long:Angry:

Look what Malzahn did with Chizik's players. Look what Saban did in year 2 with mostly Shula's players. There are plenty of examples of coaches coming and and only taking one or two years if the players are there, and Al would (and I say would, because unfortunately this administration isn't getting rid of him) get fired after this year.

Yup. This fanbase seems to be content with cool youtube videos, selfie tweets and fake swag. There is absolutely no indication this administration can or will do what's necessary. In short thos program is doomed to mediocrity.
When the fanbase values winning over cute new uniforms.

When we get a competent leader at the top and I mean the President. Her meddling and micromanaging of the football program has destroyed it. She should not have any decision making when it comes to football. No hiring no screening recruits she has to be hands off!!!

Not long if we can get a real coaching staff and athletic department. 2-3 years.

But considering that our AD and large portion of our fanbase are okay with performances like this, then my real estimate would be decades at minimum.

This program has some very deep issues that most people choose to ignore, because being "negative" or a "mope" means you aren't a fan.

If we hired the right Head Coach, I dont think we lose the commits. At least not all of them. Kids watch the game just like we do and everyone in America saw Coley Sh*t the bed last night with his play calling. Surprisingly enough, the defense was decent for a change. Sure they started to unravel in the last 6 mins but being on the field for 36 mins will do that do you when you have ZERO help from your offense.

If we do fire Golden, what makes any of you think that the current administration will hire a competent coach to replace him? The current track record the past 10 or so years is not very promising.

We may just have to face facts that until there is a change at the top (which there will not be because of the academics), we are proper ****ed.

The problem does lie at the very top. However, I would rather take the chance with hiring someone else rather than sticking with someone who we have confirmed is a loser.

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong. I'm on board with booting Fat-AG the **** out. I'm just pretty sure that we would then hire some piece of **** half-assed ****** coach that would be just as bad or worse.

Pretty much what I'm saying is that at this point, I have lost all hope for the foreseeable future.

Which is it? Half of you claim that she's too involved, the other half claims she doesn't care.
