I remember crying when Lamar Thomas got stripped by George Teague. I was 46 at the time.

Truthfully I was about 12 at the time, so been a fan since way back when. But it was probably cemented that I would be a hardcore fan at the Kickoff Classic at the Meadowlands vs Ohio State in 1999. That was my first game.

First home game was FSU in 2000, my only game at the OB. Picked a good one there. Went to law school in San Diego and didn't have the time or money to get to Miami back then.

Following year I was at the Rose Bowl and partied in the hotel with the team til about 4am. My cousin knew McKinnie from going to junior college in Scranton. What a night that was.

86 sixth grade vs. Penn state...turned out every since then...first game I watched they lost and I cried....my daughter's softball team are the lady canes now
Crazy.. that's when I started loving the Canes too. I cried when they lost to Penn State. They got me hooked with the fatigues. I was 12.

being from Key West it’s natural to become a Canes fan.But I Lived across the street from Harold Allen and when he got the job coaching for the Canes that cemented what I already kind of knew.

I was gonna be a Cane for life and nothing was gonna change that.Been a diehard for over 60 years and I’ll be one till the good Lord calls me home.

2000 vs FSU I was 7 years old and will never forget the atmosphere. Since the move to Hard Rock I have only felt that electric vibe vs FSU in 2016 and last year vs Notre Dame. With Richt bringing us back to the elite I hope to see that classic atmosphere more often.

1984. Jimmy Johnson left OSU to become Miami’s head coach. I hated all things OU and so did he. Orange and green been my favorite colors ever since. Still hate anything crimson.

86 Oklahoma game, we had season tix since ‘84 but I was still not old enough to get “it”. Well, I got it after that game. Fan, alumni for a long time now. Stealing tp from the bathrooms in the endzone, tossing the rolls on the field after a td, blowing vuvuzelas and bleeding orange and green till the day I die!
It’s a Canes Thing and tou wouldn’t understand.

Semper Canes!!!

My father was the Orange Bowl Stadium Manager from 1960 to 1979. Started as a janitor in the mid 1950's. I was about 10 years old and my mother took me to the stadium to see my father. We didn't see him much during football season. He literally slept on a cot in his office on weekends when there was a high school game on Friday night, Canes on Saturday, and Dolphins on Sunday. It was a Saturday Canes game and I got to walk out on the field before the game - by myself! Been a Cane ever since!

September 5, 1987. It was my 13th birthday and my parents had gotten me and my younger brother tickets for the home opener vs. the Florida Gayturds. We walked in thru the main entrance on the west side of the stadium. No matter how sunny it was out, when you walked thru the turnstiles, that area of the stadium was always a little dim. However, when we walked thru the tunnel in the lower part of the west end zone to take our seats, it was the brightest sun I'd ever seen. It felt like one of those moments when the tune plays and you're having an epiphany of some sort. At that moment I knew I was a Cane for life. Have had season tickets ever since. As we all know, the Canes went on to thrash UF and Heisman hopeful Kerwin ("For Whom the Bell Tolls") Bell. I don't recall the exact attendance that day, but the OB was packed and rockin'.

GO CANES!!!!
