What's your take on us giving FSU fits these last two years?

Coaching (playing not to lose in the second half instead of keeping the foot on the pedal).

Physical strength, conditioning, talent. Our ones matched up pretty good with their ones. When our backups came in we lacked the size, strength, and talent. They had an advantage because they could rotate their back ups in more often then us and not have as big of a talent gap when doing so. I think this is why they pulled away late. Their ones weren't as tired as ours late in the game.

As much as I want to say it, I vcan't get my head around the losses to any team, let alone FSU, were purely coaching. I think perhaps it was a mismatch of coaching and lack of talent (i.e. OL and S play) that hurts the most. If had to pin it down to one issue, I think the problematic OL has been the single biggest weakness that has overall lead to losses, come from behind wins, or tight games that shouldn't have been.

Can Coach Searles really improve these OL athletes, in a noticeable manner, to make a difference in the '16 campaign?

I'm not so sure and that's why I've been saying next year's record is not going to approach 10 wins like so many on here are hoping for.

DALVIN COOK is all you need to know. He beat us the last two years. Without him we win both games.

In my opinion he is their version of our great Sean Taylor who singlehandedly would beat FSU.

As long as he is at FSU we will have a hard time beating them, even more so now that he is a junior.

Having said all that, I think we are due at least a freaking upset.

I HATE ALL THINGS FSU and would gladly trade a win against them for two losses in our schedule.

I never thought Jimbo Fisher was that good of a coach. He needs not only the best talent on the field by a wide margin, but a lot of luck. His luck is running out, and the talent difference he needs to win is shrinking. I see one more year at FSU, then he jumps ship.

Jimbo's coaching prowess is overrated. He's not that good of an offensive mind. I truly believe someone like Chad Morris would have had that offense set records last year even with Everrette Golson at qb (only God knows what he would have done with Winston). Man Lane Kiffin and even Scott Frost would have had that o running with Golson and pre-Winston with Manual and Ponder.

People love to bash Jimbo for whatever reason but the reality is these game are rarely ever blowouts.

Both teams always have studs from FL and we play each other very tough.

We definitely lost because of Golden though. We had the talent to win those games.

Has absolutely nothing to do with Jimbo

whats you guys obsession with Lane Kiffin>??....Jimbo is a better offensive coach than that guy

so losing by 40 to oregon with an all star qb has nothing to do with it either?

saying that softly as I can

No obsession with Lane Kiffin but with the exception of 2013 Jimbo was ultra-conservative. His offenses was nothing special. I saw what Lane Kiffin did with a running back at qb with Sims and an average qb in Coker.

Look that maybe so regarding the comparison but that is just one side of it. Jimbo is one of the better QB coaches in CFB, his track record proves that. He is an elite recruiter and has shown a decent knack at hiring a staff. People say that Winston saved him, well he plucked that kid right under Saban's nose when Saban wanted the kid bad. That is part of the HC's job. We will see what happens this year, if FSU loses 3 then you maybe onto something but I don't see it.

This kinda lucky bull**** right here!!!!!!!!!

Dudes in here claiming Jizzbo sucks, but the guy is winning 11 or 12 or more all the time. Our new HC won 9 games a year.

Biggest factor was the fact that it was a rivalry game.. they tend to be close. But you can also look at the 2013 game where we got blown out. So it can go either way. I just don't think our talent is as far off of FSU as people seem to think.

Coaching played a huge part in the losses and it was obvious in the back end of the 2014 game and the beginning of the 2015 game we just weren't ready to play.

But at the same time.. and I said it when Jimbo was considering leaving for LSU.. we can beat Jimbo year in and year out. I want him to stay, when considering what they could have for the money they could spend. (At the time I was worried about maybe them getting Chip Kelly, that would be a nightmare) He wins in a ****** conference but 2014 they looked like **** all year, got beat a couple times last year, and he's no longer going to have direct access to Sfla talent with Richt here. That's a huge reason for his success.

It was Golden, not James Coley, who went into prevent mode in the 2nd half of the 2014
game. That one, we should have definitely won.

Bobby, I was just giving my opinion in regards to his play calling. You are right. A HC's job entails so much more but as a play caller he is rather average and conservative. I never said he sucks. He doesn't.

Coker almost beat out Winston. He didn't want to sit behind him when he lost the job, so he split. There was Trickett as well who put up very good numbers at WVU. Same story basically, left so he could play.

Whether or not one thinks Jimbo is great, good, average, or whatever....he can recruit QB's. I just found it odd that you brought up a guy that Jimbo would've still liked to have on the team when Winston had trouble off the field and when he departed for the NFL.
