What's your key matchup of the game?

Just chip Howell if he lines up on Bell on pure pass situations and he will be shut down like Texas did.

The key to this game is
1. Stopping Craver and Concepcion
2. Winning turnover battle
3. Penalties
1. Won’t be easy, if we’re going based on facts, every top tier WR we played cooked us. They have 2.

2. Will be based on the pressure we can generate, which we should be able to.

3. Well it’s up to them, make up in your mind to focus.

Canes vs adversity in a hostile environment

For example, saw A&M overcome a 27-point halftime deficit against ****y in barely a quarter's time. Aggies aren't the paper tiger they've often been. Elko's installed some grit in this program in the wake of fake tough guys like Kevin Sumlin and Jimbo Fisher

Canes gonna get punched in the mouth at least a couple times Saturday.

Can we weather the storm and get what would easily be our most impressive win of the season

We will win in the trenches both ways. Biggest thing for me will be how our backers and DBs attack the run and on short passes. They are going to try and run the ball against us. If our backers don’t make tackles, it will be a frustrating afternoon. Expecting Carson to be Carson, pretty good, not great. Same with Reed.

if Moss is out for them that is a huge advantage for the good guys

we get Scott back and Moss is out for them- I think UM can win.

I've got Markel Bell v. Cassius Howell. Size and length versus twitch and second effort.

This matchup is big in the pass game and run game. Texas A&M is the top sack percentage team in America but has had struggles against the run (see Texas game).
Our corners being trusted in man coverage using their length and size to be physical against their smaller wr

Our run game vs. their run game. To me, this is pretty cut and dry. Whoever runs the ball more effectively is going to win this game. For us, it will take their crowd out of the game and negate their home field advantage while also neutralizing what their DE’s like to do best…pin their ears back and get after the QB. For them, it would cause us to start bringing more numbers up in the box which would open things up for Concepcion and their passing game. I know we like to joke about Mario’s love for “bro ball”, but if there were ever a game we needed to lean on the running game it’s this one.

Agree with this. We have to run the ball for 150 or we lose IMO. Beck also has to have a clean game, it's going to take a massive effort; we have to play the best we have all year from whistle to whistle.

I think limiting KC concepcion vs Hetherman plan (Idk if he locks a corner on him or who).. Couple times we played impact #1 WR we got cooked and caught Ls (UL Bell, heard he tore acl before end of season crazy and SMU Hudson).. KC is Malachi Toney for Tamu, we have to limit him.. I think Texas did a good job and that really hurt their offense..

And not just at WR either, he had MAJOR impact at PR and turned a few games at that position this year.. Im talking broke games open, #3 in entire nation avg 20 yards a return and house 2.. while setting up deep redzone on a couple others.. GAMEBREAKER at return, if we cant cover just dont even kick it to him honestly.. Take his equation completely out the game..
This
Concepcion IS poor man M Toney
Very good player and he is the one that makes them go!!!! We have to know where he is every play and pray toure isn’t on him!!!!
Heatherman is smart I trust he will take him away!!!

Our DBs vs their WR. They have some legit speed there. If we keep that in check and don’t give up everything underneath, I don’t think their O will have a ton of success. I don’t think their vaunted OL is ready for our DL. And our OL is regularly practicing against our very good DL, so we will have enough success there to move the ball.
I see us leading by as much as 14 and they make a move late so it looks closer than it is. Similar to our ND and FSU games. They give up points.

Was just poor tackling that game imo. Thomas injury and no Scott etc some guys just struggled with adjusting to those two being out

We’ve shut down plenty of boogeyman mobile QBs this year

Reed and the WRs will be the toughest test so far though but Reeds accuracy isn’t the best
Weve given up 77 scramble yards

All year.....

Dont let the doom crew mess up your day. Theyre waiting in the shadows to scream at Mario for succeeding where they told us he would fail.

Tough fandom is tough.

Everything everyone said so far is correct.

I'll generalize it and say score 30+ points. That comes down to protecting Beck, being efficient on the ground, and most important, Dawson dialing up the right wrinkles at the right time to keep drives moving.

The most points our D gave up was 26 (in OT) and 24 (in regulation). Get to 30 and it's a very high likelihood we're moving on.
