What's your key matchup of the game?

Simple- OL vs DL. Their OL is their strength, our DL is what makes thing work for us. We win that battle and I think we have enough to score 28-33, and we win with that number.

They are going to isolate our LBs in space with KC and their RBs.

LBs also have to worry about Reed getting loose.

I know our DL will hold their own, but we’re going to need to get pressure on Reed asap. I worry about our secondary holding up when Reed extends plays with his feet.
can our LB's stop the QB run, when pass play falls apart and TAMU QB goes off script and runs..... been an achilles heel for forever

I've got Markel Bell v. Cassius Howell. Size and length versus twitch and second effort.

This matchup is big in the pass game and run game. Texas A&M is the top sack percentage team in America but has had struggles against the run (see Texas game).
you nailed it, thats who I would say its all on that Left Tackle spot. If he cooks TAMU is in trouble

Bain vs Crownover… their qb turns to mush mush with pressure.

Then our lbs vs Marcel Reed.

You get those two things working and their O is shutdown.

Heatherman scheme for A&M. Aggies will most likely try to play like LVille did quick throw. I am curious if our CBs will be closer to LOS to prevent that

Without a doubt our DBs vs their WRs is the matchup that's keeping me up at night. Our corners are a bigger group that seem to do very well vs bigger, contested catch guys. Other than Scott, who may not even play, we don't have anyone on the backend that can keep up with TAMU's WRs.
If we can limit big plays in the passing game and make them consistently drive the length of the field then I feel good about our chances.
