What's the projection for LB Wiley in 2026?

I had a lot of hope for Wiley when we got him in the previous cycle. Is he projected in the 2 deep? What's the buzz with him?

I’d assume he will be an edge lb. Pop’s posted a pic of him rushing the passer from a unique formation then deleted. Big plans for him in 26 in my opinion.

The buzz is that Wiley is the most explosive athlete we have had at LB in a very very long time. After taking his freshman year to adjust to the college game, I believe the plan is to use his unique skills from the LB position. I would expect to see Wiley as a pass rusher/blitzer.

Sounds good to me!! I think he could be a revelation as a newcomer. Another reason why this offseason is gonna take FOREVER!

I know Toure is coming back but I loved the idea of the kid getting some reps at MLB on first and second down, then sliding over to edge rusher on passing downs for a different look and to give the DEs a breather against pass heavy teams.

If he can learn/replicate the way Toure blitzed through the middle and just absolutely destroyed RBs with power or a pass rush move, the sky is the ceiling

I don’t like the sound of that. We just haven’t had good outcomes when converting LBs to DE or vice versa. Hope it works out for him he’s an intriguing prospect
