What's Elite About Fsu Staff?

I think Jimbo is a good coach , but Winston made him look better than he is . That was a once a decade talent .

The Jimbo who found a way to drop 2-3 games a year with elite talent is more of what he is.

We can stock more players than any team in the nation with the right coach. We have a very high ceiling and also a low floor. When its good, its great, when it's bad, it's atrocious. Maybe that will change now that they start spending dough.

I hate the Noles more than anyone but a bunch of you are simply hating on their program. FSU was a QB away from competing again for a cookie.

That's all? Just a qb?

Is it really that hard to believe? Had they had Winston they may be playing for title. Great Defense. Best RB in the country. Their OL was a little shaky but overall they were not too far away from being a serious contender.

Sarcasm. Qb is the most important position in sports

LOL at people saying Jimbo Fisher is overrated. Dude has made some of THE best halftime adjustments of any coach in CFB the last few years.

He has done pretty well in his DCO hires but promoting Kelly was a bad move imo. Kelly gets outsmarted waaay to much in the clutch. Herman ate his *** for breakfast every time Houston needed a play to keep the momentum. Been happening to fsu a lot since he took over but they were still able to squeak by in games.
they'll all bite their tongue when les gets canned like richt was at Georgia and lsu backs a dump truck filled with cash into jimbo's front lawn

This is true. When you allow a 2-9 GT to gained their third victory of the year, the coaching is where to place the blame for that game.

You don't need an all star staff to win. You need a properly run program that has solid coaches and that can recruit very well. I think so far we have those ingredients. Just need the S&C coach to seal the deal.

The staff as it stands now (aside from the S&C coach) is good enough to make the playoffs and win it all. They just have to recruit on par with FSU, Clemson, etc. If Richt and staff can do that then we will be in great shape

You think they can recruit very well, but so far our 2016 class is below average for Miami

If you think this is a playoff team you're in for a rude awakening when we win 7 games next year. You're riding the wave of the new coach but ignoring all the early warning signs
Lol at making the playoffs next year. No one said that. I said the staff is good enough to make the playoffs if they recruit as well as FSU, Clemson, etc. That wasn't meant for the 2016 season. I think we can win the coastal next year but that's as far as I'd go.

But in three to four years, if hypothetically this staff is exactly the same, then yes it's a playoff capable staff. But that all depends on how well they recruit

That's funny because a month ago, you didn't even want Richt. I was calling for Richt and you were calling for MAC coaches. Now the staff headed by my guy is good enough to make the playoffs? LOL come on dude
I would still take Herman over Richt. Wasn't a fan of Richt but solid arguments were made that he can do well here so I changed my position. As for the staff it's a solid staff, good enough to win big. Whether that happens will depend on recruiting.

You're already complaining about the recruits he's got and he had a little over a week to recruit. You suck

I agree with you. I didn't like the Richt hire at first but, after thinking about it the edge goes to Richt on this hire for one reason - he's a safe "know what you're getting" hire. Everyone knows Richt can recruit overall, develop QBs, and win 10+ games a year. He's proven it at the SEC level. It's going to be easy to sell recruits on Miami having him a the helm. Parents and players know they're getting a guy that knows what he's doing.

Herman was more of a risk just because he doesn't have a resume of success as a head coach anywhere for more than just this year. The university has taken chances the past 10 -15 years and it hasn't turned out well. That FSU win did wonders for his resume. I like Herman and think he'll be successful.

From the university stand point, it's a lot easier to justify paying a coach 4 million that was making 4 million the past few years than paying a guy 3-4 million that was an offensive coordinator for a year or so under one of the best offensive minds in CFB the past 10 years.

Trickett and Hagins are elite. Brewster is an elite recruiter. And their S&C and nutrition program is elite. Despite his hayseed demeanor, Jizzbo is a very bright guy. He's made huge changes to the infrastructure at FSU.

not disagreeing with you, but i remember when fsu fans hated hagins. they said he couldn't recruit to save his life. next thing i know, this guy starts racking up recruits left and right
