What's Elite About Fsu Staff?

LOL at people saying Jimbo Fisher is overrated. Dude has made some of THE best halftime adjustments of any coach in CFB the last few years.

He has done pretty well in his DCO hires but promoting Kelly was a bad move imo. Kelly gets outsmarted waaay to much in the clutch. Herman ate his *** for breakfast every time Houston needed a play to keep the momentum. Been happening to fsu a lot since he took over but they were still able to squeak by in games.

Supports football by allowing their players get away with everything shy of murder. It's not about them beating us, at all. It's about them getting their players cleared of practically every crime they commit. Supports football, sure. At the expense of the safety of everyone in the Tallahassee area. The football worship in Tallahassee is disgusting.

Do a little digging and you'll be shocked at the culture there. Football first, everything else far, far behind.
More than recruit, they cover up. I swear... I remember one mom saying she wanted her son to go to FSU because they'd cover for him if he got in trouble. They are the epitome of THUG U, but they call us that??? I've never seen a dirtier school. There was a time I respected FSU, but not anymore.

They beat us so they must be cheating. Right....

Can't have anything to do with the fact that the hey have an admin that actually supports football

What does that have to do with coaching ability and going out there executing and winning games.

Are they really elite recruiters or are they just winning the recruiting war by default? We've had ****ty coarching at Miami for some time now.

elite recruiters....

There only cherry picking south florida....their beating up guys on the trail in other areas consistently....how the **** u think they got jameis.

I didn't know where Jameis came from until I read it in this thread. Do you think it will be as easy to cherry pick south florida if the U starts wining double digit games every year before a bowl? It's got to have made it easier with what's been going on at Miami.

You don't need an all star staff to win. You need a properly run program that has solid coaches and that can recruit very well. I think so far we have those ingredients. Just need the S&C coach to seal the deal.

The staff as it stands now (aside from the S&C coach) is good enough to make the playoffs and win it all. They just have to recruit on par with FSU, Clemson, etc. If Richt and staff can do that then we will be in great shape

We should be able to recruit so much better with this staff. Think about what gorlden was able to do with his horrible staff

Sure it will get harder for them, but they have always stolen top tier players from SFLA, always. Its up to us to make sure we get a majority of them, which we just haven't in a long time. Still as gogeta stated, they have recruited extremely well all over the country. Just look at their class this year, three of their highest rated recruits are from CA, PA, and VA. Henry played at IMG before he got kicked out but he is a Cali kid. **** their highest rated prospect in the draft this year is from Tennessee in Ramsey.

There staff that got jameis had more elite recruiters than it does now, only elite recruiter now is Brewster. Also makes it easy to recruit if you win 10+ games.

Well let's see.... If we didn't kick players off the team for their misdeeds, we'd have twice as many LBs as we played with last season. I think that's my point. Miami kicks kids off the team for breaking the law. FSU covers for them, at all costs. So yes, covering for their players makes their job on gamely easier. Imagine FSU without Cook, or without Winston when he was there. Are you telling me they'd be just as good of a team with their criminals sidelined? Sure.

Man what the **** are you talking about. Nobody gives a **** about what fsu is covering up. This thread is about quality of coaching staffs.

Who's the bald guy on the staff who always has sun glasses on either day or night and is always jumping up and down on the sideline waving a towel around?

I hate the Noles more than anyone but a bunch of you are simply hating on their program. FSU was a QB away from competing again for a cookie.

Well, I'm sure everybody agrees, hopefully this staff gets us back to serious winning and making it a lot harder to come down to Miami and take star players. I don't follow college football as close as everyone else. I wouldn't even know who FSU is after. I follow recruiting about as far as what I see on this board. FSU's brand is really strong right now, Richt needs to slow that **** down. Winning will grease that wheel.

BS. The answer to OP's ? is Jameis Winston and a fast, top flight D in 2013. Joyner, Jernigan, Jones, Goldman and the rest of that D was elite. No questions asked. That is trending down for fsu. The kids will start to see it. Kelly was DC at GT and didn't do squat. The development of their kids is much better than Miami because of our terrible, terrible coaching going back to Coker. Richt will make Jimbo leave within 5 years.

And another thing, LOL, Jimbo didn't make adjustments, those adjustments were made by guys named Stoops or Pruitt.

Larry Scott went 4-2 with Doritos and Coley calling plays; the likes of Kehoe, Randy Melvin, and Paul Williams corching the most important positions; and Al-borton's football camp all stars.

Richt should be 9+ wins every season here.

That's all? Just a qb?

qb's are a big deal, you're right but still.. Hard to believe they would lose the GT game with a decent QB and they were in the Clemson game despite terrible quarterback play. They would have atleast been in the discussion imo. Even if they got an average guy in there would have been an upgrade

Shouldn't that be 10+? This isn't the SEC and the coastal is weak.
