I have full trust in him still being able to build and run a top level program who can win 9-11 games consistently. Beating UNC Saturday would continue to confirm that

What I don’t have trust in is his game management ability and decisions. Idk if that will ever change though as he seems like a stubborn Ox with weird Timeouts, Kneeling/not kneeling, etc.

First thing is Miami has to finish strong this year. Beating UNC is only a bandage. Have to beat the teams they are suppose to beat and win two of these four games UNC, FSU, Clemson, and Louisville. That puts them at 9 wins. Add one for the GT game and thats 10 wins. Limping through the rest of the year does not cut it. Erase the stench of not taking a knee.

Louisville

At the beginning of the season I said winning 2 of these 4 would be a good season if we didn't lose any other games we should win. Given the GT debacle.....in my eyes MC now OWES us THREE out of those FOUR.

Otherwise, he can F right off. What happened last week was one of the worst coaching moments I've ever seen....and I once witnessed Randy Shannon call a timeout on an incomplete pass during a 2 minute drill.

Randy was the best at calling timeouts on goal line situations from the 1. it was the most ridiculous thing lol

IMO we need to beat UNC & Clemson because the other two are highly unlikely.

Beat UNC and Clemson...that will show me things are different no matter what happens the rest of the year.

The goal was always to get better YoY. We were 5-7. Now we are 4-1. The goalposts have been continually moved whether everyone wants to admit it to themselves or not. Very few people had us at a 10+ win season. I think the national consensus was better than 5 wins, less than 8. It wasn't until we saw the outcome of the TAMU game that everyone started raising the ceiling on what this team was capable of achieving. Still, I think this was a growing year for the Canes. We just need to make and win a bowl and keep stacking recruits which we are on track to doing. If we get anything more out of the season, then okay--it will be a whipped topping.

Your analysis depends on what point since Cristobal started. When he first got to Miami, most pundits and fans expected UM to win 10+ in year 2. Expectation was he would take a 7-5 "poorly coached" team, and at minimum win 8 games in 2022 , then 10 in 2023, and make a run for the playoffs in year 3. The fact that he blew the hire on both sides of the ball doesn't change the initial expectations, it just means he's significantly underperformed*

*He met expectations with recruiting in year 1 so his year one record didnt mean much to me other than I thought it would hurt year 2 recruiting. Year 2 recruiting is still TBD but I'm not optimistic.

Just keep us in the top 10 yearly get dogs and all will be fixed. After the past 20 years I prefer what I see now then what I saw the past 20 years. If that makes sense

It's funny because a lot of you guys are acting surprised Mario made a huge bonehead mistake. WE ALL KNEW THIS KIND OF THING WOULD HAPPEN. We were willing to trade the inevitable game day stupidity for top recruiting classes and a chance to build a contender. This was the trade-off. Almost everyone outside a handful of people here knew this when we got him. Jimmys and Joes, not X's and O's right?
True, but that was an egregious blunder, and he's made it twice.

Problem is other coaches who are bringing in similar dogs aren't making those same mistakes.
Be patient and watch these few seasons u will see what I am talking about. U rather have the past 20 years or a competitive squad blue chip players want to play for? Because kids aint looking at one play and making a choice because of that.

I agree kids aren't looking at one play. My goal is to win it all. If all he brings to the table is recruiting and the other contenders have that AND good coaching then we are still behind.
