Not the runs themselves, which were plenty effective.

Just talking about the end where he would shut it down like an Olympic sprinter winning a prelim, then do little horizontal two-step out of bounds as the defenders approached.

Not sure I've seen that before — at least not in D1 ball

It was a scrimmage and he was in a no contact jersey. Pretty normal.

Giving himself time to talk ****. Going to have lots of zone defenses or man with a LB on Cam.

The first time he did it, I thought he was just being careless. The 2nd time, in my opinion, he was trying to bait them or set them up for a personal foul on the next one.

That first run on the right sidelines was bizarre. It almost felt like there was a whistle blown. The db seemed confused too which was good because Ward could have gotten drilled

Conserving himself and not getting hit. A defender decleats him when he's obviously giving himself up like that, that defender is probably getting sauced and tossed because they can't help themselves.

One of these games, he's going to Kenny Pickett that thang...slow up like he's about to stop and he'll accelerate, turn upfield and leave the stupefied defenders in his wake.

Any concern I had about the outcome of the game disappeared after those two runs. As I said before, we haven't had that much confidence at the QB position in a VERY, VERY LONG TIME. No doubt in my mind, at that moment, the Gators D and Staff knew it was going to be a long day for them. GO CANES

Was my thought too. Setting up something for later, where he would take off again when they let up
