What top 3 teams would you prefer draft the Duke?

1.) Dolphins - Could be the Sproles role in Lazor's offense
2.) Saints - Brees loves throwing to running backs
3.) Chargers - Always on TV in California and he would be a great scheme fit

While I would love him in Miami I don't he would receive many touches. His blocking is sub-par(Miami needs RB help a lot because the OL is still shaky), he cramps up every now and then(will need an OL that can keep him clean), and he'd most likely have Lamar Miller, Knowshon Moreno, and Damien Williams ahead of him. I think they're also going to look for bigger backs to complement Miller and provide more toughness.

Dallas, SF, Houston, or Baltimore would be great for him.

I wish for him to go to a zone run scheme.
There's no such thing as zone blocking. lol

I think he would do well in San Fran. He's not as good between the tackles as Gore, but a lot of that burst/change of direction he has is similar to what Gore has.

I think him going to a team that's struggling right now like the Bears or the Jets would give him a fair shot at being the #1 guy right off the bat. If he gets drafted by some teams, he'll be a return guy or a situational 3rd down type guy.

Nope. I for one don't see Miami drafting a RB until the 4th or 5th round so Duke is already off the radar for the Dolphins.

Tell me why he would start ahead of Miller/Moreno or immediately become the second back?

The Bears have Matt Forte as their #1 already. Although he could become the #1, I would hate for Duke to have to be in NY.

Because Moreno is broken and Duke is a better RB than Lamar Miller.

Miami obviously

But....

Seattle would find dynamic ways to use him.

Eagles ...deadly in chip Kelly offense

And Duke isn't broken? The only thing Duke has Miller beat at is as a receiver which means his role is going to most likely be a 3rd down RB. Like I've said, Duke will not be in Miami so this is pointless to talk about.

I know. But Forte, though he's **** good, could always end up being trade bait for Chicago to dangle out there to get better. Or, with the shelf life of RBs--they may let him go outright in the next few years if his production dips.

Inside joke. If you don't know the background, I ain't got time to tell ya. Some folks will get it who know the origin of the joke.

Seattle. Lynch is getting older and may want to leave, and that team has an elite run blocking OL.

Philly with Chip Kelly would be amazing for him too.

No, Duke isn't broken.

As for Miller, here's a list of things Duke is better than him at doing:

- Vision: Seeing a hole and being able to cutback more than once.
- Yards after contact: while not exactly a beast and unfortunately has struggled being tripped up this year, Duke had more yards after initial contact in his Frosh season than Lamar Miller has gotten in both college and NFL combined.
- Receiving: as you said, Duke is simply a more natural pass-catcher and it's unfortunate he wasn't used this way seriously until recently.
- Short yardage: Duke is better and plays lower in short yardage situations than Lamar has ever shown to do.

I think Duke Johnson is a better natural RB than the athletic Lamar Miller. Miller is a good fit for the Dolphins' current offense, no doubt, though.
