Well we get to see Richts team on display today. The key really isn't the x and o's since the staff has been stripped apart. The key is look at the size and speed of the team. Watching the O and D lines. This is what Richt can easily transition here, so pay attention. Hope they smoke Penn State also.

I had such high hopes for that kid after watching him with Bill O'Brien. But he's been TERRIBLE under Franklin. You can't tell me a big part of it isn't coaching and that OL, but he's also missing wide open throws.

Look at UGAs line and then compare/contrast their play vs UMs OL. While maybe not top 3, hopefully the new staff can coach/recruit/retain that level of talent.

It's likely going to take 3 years to fix the DIII-level OL unit now in place.

Oh, being under the tutelage of James Franklin has done that kid absolutely no good. I'll admit that he has taken a bazillion hits too in his college career but he simply hasn't progressed at all. Misses the throws he should make, has a junk overall completion % and still chooses to run too many times when he shouldn't- despite poor o-line play getting him hit too much already. I'm the last person ever to play the race card in college sports but I really do wonder why his "football IQ" isn't questioned more.

You see Franklin on the hot seat next year? I think he absolutely should be.

Franklin is the mulatto Al Golden. Never really did anything besides make a garbage program "less ****ty".....total corch, and it couldn't happen to a better program in Ped State.

Hackenberg reminds me of Ron Paulus... a lot of hype and never lived up to it.

That's an excellent reference and comparison. Only difference is Powlus won 2 Heismans. RIP Beano Cook.

I can't even spell his name right.. maybe it's made up in my head but the day Powlus came out as a freshman, before he even took his first snap, didn't Musberger or another mouthpiece say : this kid's ready to pay on Sundays right now."???

Anyone watching. How does Georgia team speed look against psu?

That and physicality. I know canecanecane mentioned they looked good just wondering if the team is holding up strong throughout the game in terms of conditioning.

Would be promising to see a well conditioned Georgia team right after richt shows swassey the door

I'm liking the lack of penalties. Georgia not beating themselves (mostly).

Yes. With the amount of money they threw at him, he better start showing improvement soon. He bought himself time with the OC firing but fans will start clamouring for someone else if that offense doesn't improve. Sad part is, i don't think Hack stays, so the QB situation will be a mess again next year.

He reminds me more of David Carr.....never the same after getting beat up but always had the physical tools. It became a mental game for him.

Powlus was built like a linebacker and never quite looked like a QB.

I just tuned in to check the score and I swear I was watching an Al Golden blowout loss. The broadcasters were singing the praise of Franklin. "He's the right man for the job. The cloud of sanctions. All the things he does for the program. He'd take job 10x over but would never advise anyone else to take a job under sanctions. He'll get the ship righted. Just look at his future recruiting classes. Next year will actually be the first year of the Franklin Era....". It was freakin amazing. Like they were just recycling old Golden associated lies. Kinda made me nauseous.
