What Receivers should look like

I watched 'Bama, UGA, Clemson, Oklahoma and their receivers were simply the truth ... there was no grandstanding, just making play after play.

We used to have this level of performance ... with the added hoopla ... what happened to the days of Downtown Eddie Brown, Stanley Shakespeare, Micheal Irvin, Brian Blades, Brett Perriman, The Ruthless Posse, etc...?

My God, how far must we fall before we rise again?

You think if Pope, Hightower and JT, were on the other teams they would not perform? Don't forget Jordan and Mallory as TE's. These guy would be killing it in another program!

And what evidence is there that pope "would be killing it in another program"? He has the body of a 14yr old kid and the tenacity on the field of a sea slug. Maybe he will be good one day, but pope didnt flash a single **** thing all season. He is a way better social media diva complainer thus far than he is a college player.

We had seven drops against Pitt. SEVEN! And honestly, it didn't feel rare or like an anomaly at all that game as we have grown accustomed to multiple drops every single game. So they suddenly catch those balls if they are wearing a different team's colors?

Look, I get your point and anyone who follows the program even remotely knows our staff did an absolutely dreadful job of utilizing our offensive roster to the best of its abilities. But there is a sh-t ton of blame that needs to be on the shoulders of a large handful of players on our offense as well. I can think of more guys on the entire offensive roster who played like dog sh-t this year than I can of those who performed well on game days. In fact, it's not even close.

Offensive scheme sucks, our guys have talent but a lot of them don’t play DYNAMIC or aren’t consistent. I agree

None of those guys would be playing at other schools because they'd be sitting the bench for dropping too many passes.

Actually, they would all probably be having a great year after superior coaching.

The losses of AR82 and JT4 hurt this group a lot from that standpoint. Don't know the stats but we HAD to have led the nation in drops, dear lord.

They had more drops than catches against Pitt.

Perhaps, but I recall many on this board saying we rotate our receivers too much. We can't have it both ways.

Imo drops like great plays are contagious, especially with young, inexperienced players.

Of all the problems we have offensively this one concerns me the least.
