What Receivers should look like

Offensive scheme sucks, our guys have talent but a lot of them don’t play DYNAMIC or aren’t consistent. I agree
What does that have to do with them catching the **** ball ? It’s not like most of the drops are contested balls these mofos are with open. Hold them accountable as well not just the scheme

For all the passes being dropped it obviously shows the player doesn't take ownership of there job , what they should be shown is to drive them by all the road construction or roofing being done and tell them this will be you new profession once mommy and daddy finally kick you out of the house following your senior season and no one wants you in the NFL.

I look at there mannerisms after there second or third drop and it's like oh well we'll get them next time , people please these kids don't give a hoot if they did it would stop.

YOU ARE HOW YOU PRACTICE......

JUST SO SAD ALL THE TALENT IN THE WORLD.......WELL THE REAL WORLD WILL TAKE CARE OF THIS REAL FAST.

In the construction business , they'll tell you see that white line dig 18" deep and follow it I tell you when it's lunch....THIS WILL GET THEM TO WORK ON CATCHING.

So who takes credit for Richards freshman season and Berrios last season? That coaching, scheme, or talent

In my thought process you have talent and the coaches put you in the position to win like getting the ball thrown to you on certain plays. The coaches can't make you catch the ball you take ownership of the ball declaring it's yours you own that ball and know one can touch it...... because know one has worked harder then you to own that ball as it flying closer and closer you drool and you LOCK IT DOWN WITH NASTY INTENTIONS....THAT'S HOW YOU DO IT.

Like Mad Dog Jim Mandich of the Dolphins bloody nose cramping and still moaning " throw me the ball throw me the ball" i'm always OPEN

Maybe We are over-prioritizing athletic upside over hands and toughness in recruiting receivers?

Homer has displayed hands and toughness. I made a thread about him being a slot WR earlier but it's gone.

honestly this is richt and all richt

he did this trash quite a bit at uga

i'm talking about getting his players to try and pscyhe the other team out and get in their heads. I remember him doing it to uf in like 07 when tebow was hurt, meyer and tebow came back the next year with a vengeance and beat the utter loving **** out of the overrated douche

Justyn Ross - Clemson - true Freshman - killing it at Clemson. Coaching. Period the end.
Yeup. Pretty sure he was the top rated WR last cycle and doesn’t have 12 or 5 throwing and diagnosing coverage..AR82 did just well under this coaching staff or nah

All I’m saying is this..it’s not just coaching when u had fresh b4 ball under this staff at the same position B4 .

One guy is not really your point valid
2 legit fresh AAs in 3 years who were pass catchers..& 3 if you point out Donaldson on so yeah my point is valid..but y’all points are not valid when you bring up schools like OU..BAMA..Clemson and pretend the QB play here is on par with those schools..my overall point should not have to be further explained from last post but I gotchu..when QB play is good, normally you can have a fresh talented WR come in a have a impact..AR82 had Kaaya..so to just say “oh we can’t get freshman wr developed” is not telling the whole story..could u name me a true fresh WR who came into a college program and dominated with poor QB play ?

The staff has recruited like 10 receivers in these 3 cycles....how much improvement have you seen since they enteried school to now? The sad thing is, no matter how much playmaking ability you have, you don't play unless you can block. But we throw bubble screens to Langham and Cager(non playmakers) to run behind the blocking of those who suppose to be the athletes on the team, smdh...

the staff (Richt/Dugans) has failed to prioritise receivers route running and beating coverage, ball catching and fighting for 50/50 balls and studying your oppenents and tendencies. I didn't say they weren't working on these things, just that they aren't at the top. The results are what they are.

Nk and JW get with your boys and go to work this offseason

I just have to ask..is blocking not apart of being a WR..given the fact that more than half of the time your on the field as a WR..your asked to block..your right results are what they are..but u need Quality QB play/line play...it’s crazy how the narrative can change from “anyone but rosier he’s holding us back” ..to now the WRs are not being developed..pass catchers who developed under this staff:

Stacey coley( IMO had his best pure WR year his SR year. Made contested catches, played tough, blocked his *** off and ran crisp routes)

Braxt B..doesn’t have to be explained

David Njoku- physical freak..became more consistent
Chris Herndon- underrated
AR- balled as a Fresh. Nagging injuries his Soph year..then we know the rest

Poor QB play hindered the WR group this year without a doubt. Also had drops which has little to absolutely nothing to do with coaching. It’s contagious. Guys start pressing.

Good stuff.

None of those guys would be playing at other schools because they'd be sitting the bench for dropping too many passes.

To be fair, they are nearly as bad as Wiggins, Langham, and Cager our starters.

Njoku and Coley were already good/great before this staff got hired. Coley's freshman season was arguably his best.

Herndon put up his best numbers as a senior in 17 mostly because he was no longer behind Njoku. He was always a solid pass catcher, just relegated to second string status because the starter was a 1st round talent. Also, the tight ends have a different position coach (maybe that's why they're the only ones who don't consistently drop passes)

Richards got worse the longer he was here but injuries played a part in that so his grade is Incomplete.

Berrios did finally break through his senior season. He probably benefited from the new staff more than anyone on offense.

Jeff Thomas was showing major ability before Dugans chased him off.

Cager still can't catch a ball with his hands after 3 years

Langham is what he is as a senior

Njoku 2 can't pass a bunch of mediocre players on the depth chart.

Harley flashes but has inconsistent hands

Wiggins can't catch anything

Pope/Ezzard/Hightower don't really play.
