What personnel do you think we will use when LSU goes 4 wide?

Ed has said they were going to use more 4 wide. think we gonna keep a striker on the field(Finley or Smith) or go with 4 CBs? if we go with 4 CBs, that would probably mean a true freshmen would have to see the field

Bump out the Sam/Striker over the Weak 2 receiver (more thump) and have the Nickelback (3rd CB) and with a Safety play single high, still allows you to play Cover 3 with 2 guys running flats. One LB can play man on the Tail another LB plays Man on the QB, and you out number them in the box.

If you watch Canadian football, this is the most primitive defense that we play up north and the Single High Safety has more field to take care of, I'm sure JaQuan will be fine.

Depends on down and distance. On early downs or run situations, 4-2-5 with the striker. If they prove capable of passing the ball or in more obvious pass situations, traditional nickel with Bandy shifting inside. I doubt we'll see much dime coverage, Diaz doesn't use it often at all.

The striker is a hybrid LB/S, and is counted as the 5th DB in our 4-2-5. The difference in 4-2-5 and Nickel is a S vs. a CB replaces the SAM.
