Shi* - I forgot about that Toledo gameWhen Manny was DC '16-18. He benefited from the entire coastal having limp **** offenses. The very few times we encountered a functional offense/qb - he got exposed everytime. Including group of 5 schools like Toledo in 2017.
Now the coastal & ACC have plenty of above average QB's and it's just a continuation of him getting exposed.
We have enough talent to be at least average or above it, but why is our defense performing so poorly , specially if Manny is he true defensive coordinator ?

I'd add to this list that the blueprint is now readily available for attacking this defense.1. Bad player personnel choices: Ivey, Jennings, Hall
2. Lack of talent at DE
3. Lack of talent at LB
4. Very young elite talents at S and experienced S playing poorly.
5. DT talent isn't elite and the young elite kid wasn't getting snaps until recently.
6. Lack of quality depth at CB.
I don't see an answer in our '22 class for DE or LB. S play should continue to improve IF JW is coachable. CB should improve in '22 with the big class coming in. DT should improve with LT getting more snaps.
