What I'm seeing and hearing...

Im confused at these things because this makes it seem like mario is a passive fan like us and not responsible for product.

1. MARIO IS DAM NEAR THE OLINE COACH! Everything the Oline coach does and teaches is what Mario does and teach! He would be firing himself?! Its his unit, he it there in practice, he is there pregame.

3. Mario is the one who dictates taking foot off gas! Lol. You think changing the OC will change that?? You think if Mario wanted something different with offense he couldnt demand it RIGHT NOW??
so the conclusion is....FIRE _A__O

1. Mario needs to fire the OL Coach.

2. Mario needs a 100% hands off approach. Head Coach, Recruiting, Spokesperson, NIL, Portal, and having position coach on give a recap of the Game Plan for the week 0% input.

3. Hire a OC who doesn't believe in taking his foot off the gas. Who has a dominate inside and outside run game strategy. Innovative in the pass game. Rotate players to keep our players fresh and injury free.

4. Tell Heathermen he wants more press coverage. We press every play. We rotate our guys keep them fresh and injury free. Best player plays.

5. We have enough talent on Offense to win the ACC btw. Even our "disappointments" can be stars in the ACC.
Can Mario except being a CEO type will he listen to anybody ???

1. Mario should have no input on anything dealing with Fundamentals/Xs or Os. I spelled out his responsibilities. Firing the OL means getting rid of his teachings/ways. Cut the cord 100%.

3. I don't believe in Dawson. He doesn't use the TE. He's not smart enough to say "Hey since I don't use the TE let's use 4 WRs". Other than Toney we don't attack the middle of the field that much. He doesn't scheme our playmakers open.

4. He's our OC... He's not a QB Coach Guru. He picked Judd over the NC State QB who is balling. He's done.

Great summary. Appreciate your insight as always.

The only bit I'd slightly quibble about is Beck.

He's clearly regressed to his Jekyll/Hyde form at UGA, where a bad play was as imminent as his (inevitable?) next poor decision.

The offense is stilted for all the reasons you mentioned, but Beck — future mid-round draft pick or not — simply makes too many ill-advised choices for a guy in his sixth year on a D1 roster
that was the biggest lie told. no shot beck gets picked in the mid rounds. hes slow, cant read a defense, and weak arm

We ran 4 wide a couple times and actually ran the ball well.. Mario wouldnt let us go 4 wide exclusively, he doesnt like it and will put OL in 80 digit jersey to play WR if we try to get more Olineman in those sets.

We should do it more because Bauman is a waste and Lofton is first ballot Greentree HOF.. He is skipping AA because of hype.

I strongly disagree that the slow laborious pace works against the ND’s of the world. That game came down to our kicker nailing a 50+ yarder. The margins in that game were MUCH closer than they should’ve been due to our ultra conservatism.

Same thing vs UF. We milked the clock and wasted possessions and gave UF the ball with a chance to take the lead in the 3rd. Absolute malpractice it even was that close at any point.

We don’t need to go no huddle like USF, but operate with same **** pace and urgency.

What does it say about Mario that his supposed greatest strength (OL) is just an average unit 4 years in? While they’re elite at pass pro, they’re mediocre to bad in other phases - run blocking and discipline.

Mirabal is the most overrated coach in modern memory. Everyone beats off to his ability to develop diamonds in the rough. Who exactly has he developed here? Anez cooper is his best case study, and he’s just a solid player, not some all conference level guy. And for every cooper, there’s been 5+ Antonio Tripp types who never see the field.

I don’t think it’s an average unit. I think most teams in America would take our guys, save a handful like Texas A&M and Utah.

But they are definitely underperforming. The penalties are killing us every game.
