What has Charlie Strong done without Bridgewater?

Coaches need players. But how did Strong turn those 3-stars into NFL guys? His teams were LOADED. 14 draft picks in two years? Imagine if he was at Miami?

A HC is only as good as his staff though.

What has any great coach done without their HOF QB??

Yea nothing. You need great players to win consistently.

This is stupid and getting annoying

What has petrino done without brian brohm and ryan mallet? What has belichik done without brady? What did tony dungy do before he went to the colts with peyton manning?

This is a stupid argument because you win with a good QB and lose if you don't have a good QB. Oregon won with Mariota, now they can't win without him.

Yes, some teams are good enough to win games without a good QB but they rarely win the NCG. It's just reality that a good QB is going to win games and a bad one is going to lose games.

Fuente has a good QB in the AAC, Herman has a good QB in the AAC, Strong has a ****** QB in the Big 12 running an offense that they didn't even run all spring or fall until after their projected starter failed in week 1 and they decided to make a change. Ya that is strong's own fault, he should have known the better option prior to that game and prepared better. For a Texas program and the money they have for assistants, the staff Strong has assembled there is underwhelming and that is scary. Could do way better on offense.

Petrino has done well with other QBs. He had Tyler Wilson in 2011 (11-2) at Arkansas. Finished the year ranked #5 . In 2004 at UL, he went 11-1 with Stefan LeFors at QB and finished #6 . Only loss was to Miami.

Bill Belichick made the playoffs in Cleveland. In 2008, he went 11-5 without Tom Brady.

Tony Dungy made the playoffs 4 times in 6 seasons at Tampa Bay.

played the hardest schedule in america - basically....

What has fuente done without paxton lynch?

Andy Dalton

Wasn't head coach and was co-oc at tcu.

That was his guy dude. He developed him. Thus proving you're incorrect point that he had success without Paxton Lynch. For further proof.

In JF’s last year at TCU, he led an offense that was 9th in scoring offense with 40.8 PPG [Footnote 1] and 28th in total offense with 440.2 YPG [Footnote 2]. Immediately after his departure, TCU was 68th in scoring offense with 28.3 PPG [Footnote 3] and 73rd in total offense with 386.6 YPG [Footnote 4]. In 2011, JF’s last year, TCU went 11-2. In 2012, after JF left, TCU went 7-6. In 2011, TCU was 28th in scoring defense [Footnote 5] versus 30th in 2012 [Footnote 6]. The clear difference was the offense.

Jarrett Anderson was his Co-OC, google the name and where he is today.

very telling why this is being used against Charlie. Charlie built impressive defenses at not 1, not 2, but 3 different schools. Why is that not used though?

Things that make you go hmmmm
