What Happened Wednesday Jarren Hightower and Tate

Jarren made a game winning throw against UNC but 4th and 17
dont disagree at all. he def needs to clean house if hes back next year. i do like how the kids that are on the field didn't lay down in an obvious spot against pitt on the road when they easily could've. i thought this board told me they quit on the team. glad to see them fighting. im just sick of these kids with one foot out the door season after season. thats one of the reasons im proud of perry. he could've quit before the year began and left us with no depth at QB. he didnt and supported JW all year. thats the kinda heart we need from the kids on the roster.
Jarren and his parents *****ed all last year. Hightower had one foot out the door too.
In fairness this team doesn’t quit. Even down 28-0 to va tech or 17-3 at unc they didn’t

If Manny cans most of the staff at the end of the season and brings in somebody to run a spread offense, I’d be happy. He’s got one offseason to make changes and get the fan base back on board. We’ll see if he has it in him.

this. coach O made a mistake on his OC and changed direction real quick. lets see if manny can do the same. enos is obviously not a fit here and would've been better off at UGA

i like jarren and im glad he did stick around. i know BH had issues and ivins alluded to that in his pod about BH never finishing his career here before he even enrolled. i do think JW is the best QB on the roster and i hope he sticks around. i cant stand these wishy washy kids looking elsewhere the moment something doesnt go their way.

Agreed. A lot of people forget that this is Manny’s first head coaching job. I’m sure he realizes how many mistakes he made, but now it’s up to him to make it right. If he’s stubborn, he’ll be copying every other failed corch that’s been here since Butch.

the only one that wasnt stubborn in his assistants was randy, but he just kept hiring the wrong assistants.

Isn't it clear to anyone watching that we still don't have a legit QB on this roster (again, for like the 18th consecurtive year)?
Yea the play action 5-7 step drops that keep getting called when our LT still has his hand in the dirt is really helping. Enos thinks he has Alabama’s line.

We don't really know what has been going on behind the scenes with Williams' injury. We've had a glimpse through @dsddcane before he left. I'm not at all surprised if the kid is frustrated. That's not to excuse any immaturity. Manny has consistently said that Williams is "their guy". He has also said that when he is healthy he will be back as QB1. He also said there was no "short leash" from the beginning. So I guess it leaves you to wonder what happened the past two weeks. Definitely this past week. Sort of seems like the kid felt he was being jerked around . IDK.

I find it really odd that no one ever acknowledged Jarren was injured until they had to and even then it was vague. Manny didn't even really acknowledge Perry got hurt. Yet Enos comes out and talks about Perry's injury in a press conference. I think Williams put his status to rest yesterday when he said he felt great and had no pain.

Between the OP and Jarren actually looking fine when he came in, does this mean that the coaching staff preferred Perry over a healthy Jarren?

Dsdd confirmed that Jarren hurt his shoulder against the gaytor and got hurt worse against CMU. According to dsdd, an MRI after CMU revealed a tear but no details as to the severity.
My take is that they were trying to give Jarren as much time as possible to heal hoping Perry would suffice until then.
