Our wide receivers are getting more obscure and lost with each game. We have to get the ball to them and in turn they have to get open and all too often they are covered.

Duke Johnson, Joe Yearby, Gus Edwards, and thee Oline happened to them.

Yeah just not enough footballs to go around with the running game humming

dorsett, coley, and waters combined for 1 catch.

Our coaches finally figured out they had a frosh QB and a boss run game.

Hey! Relax!

I wasn't the only one.

If they can't stop the run, you don't stop running it. We know what we have at WR and QB, but the line opening holes for Duke in spite of constant shuffling is worth relying on. And, not unimportantly, controlling the clock keeps our defense well-rested, instead of being on the field 35-40 minutes a game.

Stating the rather obvious, we will need more plays in the passing game against FSU and UVA, but you shouldn't worry too much about it. BK is the goods.

You should see a mix of everything vs FSU they are coming to stop the run

We will be ready coley seems to really know how to game plan

You obviously must be a casual fan and have not watched much Canes Football over the last month....

They're focusing a lot more on the TE's in the passing game, and on getting the ball to the RB's out of the backfield--and it's working. Kaaya completed only 11 passes yesterday, three for TD's. The TE's (mostly Walford) hauled in 8 of these completions and 2 of the TD's. The RB'caught 3 of the passes out of the backfield, one for a TD.

While it would be nice to see the WR's get more involved, the mismatches seem to be there for the TE's and RB's.

Having Feliciano at LT does 2 things. gives you a great run blocker, but a very average pass blocker. I think the staff wants opposing defenses to have to concentrate on run defense. when we have to pass verse FSU I am very scared if our OL will hold up with all the injuries we have had.

You will probably say the same thing about our defense when we play Florida State.

Well the run game has been kind of good lately so..... Why pass? If the running game is working with ease, you don't change it. Run the ball, keep the opposing offense off the field while eating tons of clock. The WRs are fine outside of Coley. Kaaya hasn't needed to pass much and when he did, he found RBs and TEs open. Dorsett would've caught a deep ball if he wasn't interfeared with(and of course it wasn't called). Kaaya does a great job spreading the ball out to everyone. He really doesn't favor anyone. Just try's to find the open man like he should do but like I said its all irrelevant when the run-game is working to perfection.

They're blocking for the running backs, as far as I can see, and very well...

If not for the ridiculously obvious pass interference that happened right in the ref's view, Dorsett would have had another 40+ yard catch to add to his gaudy ypc stats.
