What Else Does Manny Need to Do?

What else do you all think Manny needs to do/bring in to earn everyone's stamp of approval. Obviously winning fixes all, but I'm curious as to what else he needs to do. I think he learned a lot in his first year and is making the necessary changes to build this program back. I think he's the kind of the coach that wouldn't bolt at other opportunities (NFL jobs) if he wins here like our other legendary coaches, which is why I want him to succeed.

I want Manny to grow a pair and be ruthless as a CEO of UM football, especially when it comes to hiring coaches.

Give me the coaches that are fantastic at their respective positions, compared to Manny’s guys that are green as ****

- Hire a legit WR's coach
- Get a Grad Transfer LT
- Hire more support analysts
- Replace Patke with a recruiter
- Commandeer the Defense from Baker
- Let Lashlee be the HC of the Offense, don't get in his way
- Win the Coastal
- Recruit better

Just can Baker and get someone else qualified.

WIN

Man you said basically exactly how I feel. He learned some lessons this year as every first year coach would and got the job done in the off season. Signed a top 10 class if you count grad transfers which I think it is silly not to . He hired a proven stud at OC and really not much if anything needs to change about the D so nothing much was . He also got a kicker to fix that issue . I suspect he will win 9-10 games the next 2 years and then that is when the ball will really get rolling .

Win. As bad as the offense was last year, if the FG kickers could hit a chip shot, they would have beaten UF and GT. The ACC is just that bad, except for Clemson. It will be nice to watch the other teams' defenses try to chase around Miami's mobile QB this year.

Manny is a promoter by nature. Fixing the culture is about fixing a lot of things that have little or nothing to do with talent acquisition and are otherwise totally out of the spotlight.

Favoritism, inconsistency, self-promotion, and permissiveness are the leadership criteria that will define Manny’s long term success or failure.

1.) Stop tweeting out dumb **** about our defensive stats after a 6-7 season in which the defense folded every time we needed them to make a play (UNC, VT, Duke, FIU, etc.) and started slow almost every week.

2.) Have an honest to god, post-NSD review of the defensive staff. I think he'd find, if he's being honest with himself, that most of the coaches are out of their depth.

3.) No more corny branding campaigns and gimmicks. Shut up and keep your head down until you've done something.

bigger turnover chain. Create a dance off belt, Like a WWE style belt that is awarded to best sideline dancer. Stickers on helmets for high fives. Special game day cleats for the best tweeter of the week. That's about it

LOL.. These are all things that could very well come to fruition with Manny as HC.
I'm sure he wants to add new trinkets this season, the dance off belt would be perfect.

- Increase the recruiting budget, bring in additional support personnel, and change the recruiting philosophy (no more "eggs in one basket" approach, no more being beat to offer elite kids in the tri-county area by the Bagas, L$Us, and UGAs of the world, no more accepting commits from kids 18+ months away from NSD, minimize the amount of kids playing UM or committing to us to raise their profile).
- Hire a legit WR coach (Wyatt is my top choice, but as long as it is someone who is decent technique-wise but is a bona fide recruiter, I'm good).
- Fire Patke (or demote him to some off-field analyst position) and bring in a STs/LBs coach that can recruit.
- Bring in a GT who can legitimately play LT. Doesn't need to be all-conference, just a solid starter.
- Bring in a HS OT with quick feet and the measurables to develop into a LT.
- Bring in a JUCO or GT at CB who can contribute this season. Boundary or nickel doesn't matter, honestly, we just need another veteran to contribute.
- Bring in another solid HS recruit (at WR, LB, DB, OL, RB...) so that we use every available IC (I'm tired of self-imposed roster limits).
- Instead of crying about players not performing or preparing properly and talking about "culture change," actively try to change the culture by holding players, coaches, and yourself accountable. In short, less talk, more action.
- Win a game coming off of a bye week.
- Stop losing to teams that you are favored to beat by 10+.
- Beat F$U (again).
- Win the Coastal and keep the ACCCG within 3 TDs.
- Win your bowl game (if a NY6 game, at least keep it exciting and within 1 score).
- Finish the season in the Top 25.
- Consensus Top 12 class in 2021 (considering the talent down here, this should be easy for a staff that can recruit and manages to win 10 games).

Win 10 games this year.

He needs to take out the trash and kick Jarren Williams and N’Kosi Perry off the team.

The ***** of the epic fail offense era would be complete.

Learn how to win a game and quit justifying a loss.take ownership and accept the blame for losing instead deflecting it on something else.best thing Diaz could do is swallow his pride get a experienced retired hc as a consultant and actually listen to them.
