What do you want to see on the Podcast?

Not sure if it'd be too nuanced for a whole segment on a pod but I'd be thrilled to come on and talk numbers/stats/analytics kind of like we get into with the stat roll threads. I don't think everyone really nerds out like that, so maybe it'd be poorly received, but i know @DMoney references them a bit during the in-season pods, if you ever wanted to do an analytics based, statistical show talking about advanced metrics in the sport and how it translates on the field to the teams we watch, I'd be honored to drop the limited knowledge I have and research.

I'll even wear a pocket protector.

As you can see, we're revamping a bunch of the stuff on the show. I'm trying to move it more in a true football direction with hosts/guests like Ahmmon, @Coach Macho, @Stevo365, @Lance Roffers and others.

Help me take it to the next level as we head into football season. What do you guys want to see more of? What aren't we doing that we should be?
I like the variety we've had in hosts since the Petexit.

You don't need guests everyday.

I dont need to hear from former players talk about glory years either, I can pop in games on youtube for that.

You and Pete had a good chemistry, but I know there was some friction about his negative slant and your ties to the football department.

You could do solo shows 3 days a week then mix up who you bring on. I'd rather listen to you, Pete, people like David Lake, Gaby than former players, other personalities.

Eric MacClain, Josh Pate, Taylor Tannenbaum, Brooks Austin, Landon Tengwell, Coach Macho, Lance are good people to have on.

Agree with all of this. Steve Kim’s historical perspective is really interesting, but that feels like enough in terms of historical look backs.

For me, what’s most interesting is developments going on currently with the team, and I’d love to see a rotation of insiders that can provide additional insight into recruiting, position battles, how certain players are progressing, the local high school scene and recruiting pipeline, major initiatives going on with the Athletic Department, etc. Combining that with national voices like Pate and then during the season reporters that cover our opponents would be great.

I really liked the Steve Kim All Time team talk. I think during the off season, discussions like that are a good break from the recruiting daily discussion. Maybe a past season or game Steve Kim breakdown. Story time is always fun.

At some point, I would love to to see a QB mind or film review on the show. Maybe a former UM QB. Maybe someone AR played with.

I appreciate that, I plan on doing more segments like that during the summer, then as fall camp begins focus more on the upcoming season, and stuff of that nature

But the historical stuff is really good for the off-season stuff because quite frankly, there are weeks when there isn't a lot going on

I’d like to hear from the staff like the podcast did with the basketball program. Analysts, Strength staff, other members (nutrition, equipment, operations) who play a key role in the success of the program.

We have so much amazing history, great teams, and players, and looking back on it during the off-season makes the anticipation of continuing it in the upcoming season that much more fun. Like you, the late 80s and early 90s teams are my favorite time. Maybe you could do a live show from the UM HOF. Maybe have a past player or John Routh "THE Ibis" join in.

Just a personal request: you did not mention Lamar Thomas much on your all-time team; give him more spotlight on his career at UM. One of the goats

I'd also throw in people from recruiting team as well. It would be cool to hear about the evaluation process, specifically how the staff puts together their recruiting boards/watchlists

@DMoney you can give me 1000 different types of @k9cane all-time team breakdowns and i'll watch every second of them:
-most hyped recruits
-best all time based only on NFL performance
-best out of state vs best in state vs best dade county only
-best single season team vs best career team
-first off the bus team
-best undersized team (Rohan Marley all-stars)
-weight room warriors/freaks
-all-name team
-what could have been team (Ahmonn Richards all-stars)
etc...

More scheme and play by play breakdowns
Like the game within the game stuff

Maybe some position group breakdowns as well
Ahmmon talking WR route trees, concepts...
And the like
