Fire your whole defensive staff at the end of this season and get a good defensive coordinator and let him bring his people. Keep Enos one more year and the season after if Enos doesn't improve then get yourself a good OC and fire the rest of the staff. I hope I'm right that Diaz hired these guys like the Wr coach, Oline coach bc it was last minute hires. Our season is done but hopefully Diaz learns from the past.

See...THAT'S what Butch did, and would have done from 01-2013.....Past his prime now??...Sure....But we'd have been in better shape then...and moving foward.

We just put up 485 yards on the road with an OL and QB that's still growing. This offense will be fun to watch as they continue to get better. The defense on the other hand looks a disaster. No pass rush, slow LBs that still commit bad mistakes, and a green as grass secondary. All punctuated by a guy who may not deserve to be here calling plays.

The rest of the schedule is a joke and most are home games. If Diaz get it together we could go on a run for the coastal...

then again who am i fooling, VT, UVA, Pitt, FSU, Duke will all be dogfights.

That's the crazy part. The ACC is so freaking mediocre that I wouldn't be surprised if we won all those games. I also wouldn't be surprised if we lost to any of them. Unfortunately we look like we're part of the mediocrity (again). It will be nice to play a couple weaker teams in the next couple weeks and build some momentum. Playing at home should bring some positive energy too. It's been a nightmare two weeks, but the ACC Coastal will give us chances.

Totally agree on the need for quality coordinators. I know everyone on CIS had a list of names they'd love to see (David Yost, etc.) but I don't know how realistic any of those hires ever were. What is Manny offering that makes this a job that hot coordinator candidates really want? I know the arguments we would make historically, but I mean right now. I just don't know how many better coordinators than Enos and Baker were real possibilities. I have no justification for Patke though. We could definitely find a Special Teams guy if we even tried to look.
