What Dan Enos means by "System don't win Championships"

Here is what I would do with our personnel as OC of this dumpster fire. Open the competition for each of these positions:

QB: TVD, Martell, Matocha
RB: Harris, Chaney, Knighton, Burns
SB: Harley, Restrepo, Few
FL: Pope, Payton, Redding
SE: Wiggins, Lingard, Worsham
TE: Jordan, Irvin, Polendey
HB: Mallory, Hodges, Mamarelli

My system works with the right personnel. But hey Dummy your Oline is not strong enough to run a power run attack smh. So how about you adjust your offense to the players that you have instead of trying to make the players fit your offense.
Without championship personel you won’t win a title..just because you change a system doesn’t automatically mean your production will get much better..jimmys and joes not xs and os

I disagree with Enos logic and there is plenty of examples in college football, pro football, and even basketball to prove him wrong. As a coach you put players in position to reach their potential and be successful. You put them in a system or scheme that don’t maximize their talents. It reminds me when we had NO D as a coach and he coached that gap control defense.

All Enos needs to do is look at dno
Those same players who we thought were scrubs and lacked talent over night became a top 25 defense once manny got here and changed the system
The turnaround for the dline was even more dramatic

he just means his system doesn't win championships.

Without a good coaches with the ability to place your team in positions to win ...with good game planning .. keeping your players motivated, working as a cohesive unit and fully aware of their responsibilities...making the necessary adjustments to what your competition is doing during the game...seeing how well your and the opponent's personnel are doing during a game and adjust accordingly...calling the right plays, and making the right moves at the right time...You'll have major problems

Because against smart, well coached and motivated teams OR one with near equal personnel.... Neither Jimmys and Joes nor X's and O's can overcome bad coaching OR bad coach(es)

IF you don't believe that true...and you have a high tolerance for pain ...just replay a tape of this season

Just listening to great coaches like Belichick, Saban, and now even listening to Coach O.....yeah, we haven’t hired a great coach in a while.

Coach Richt; good man, good coach, but not a great coach.

What separates a good coach from a great coach is the ability to adapt. Hearing Belichick say every team is different each year, and you take the opportunity to reevaluate each player, what skill set they bring, they’ve developed, and u evolve your scheme around what you have to maximize the talent let me know why we will never get back to winning until we get a coach & his staff understands this.

Saban admitted this as well; Coach O just admitted this. We, on the other hand, have hired dogmatic guys who think they are smarter than you, and their scheme is proven b/c of what Mohammad Wilkerson did against G5 competition, what Stafford did back in 2008 w AJ Green, or what Brandon Allen did back in 2015 when he had a nice OL and NFL RB in front & back of him.

Until we hire a coach who understands his personnel, understands how to scheme around his personnel, we’ll be screwed.

My stance has always been..we as Miami fan always overrated out personel/depth to compete at a conference championship level..it’s not just the depth on game days..but who’s pushing these guys who have they spots locked down since fresh soph years..shaq, pink..you can go find whatever system hitting right now..but what makes LSUs turnover possible is the quality behind the started they have. Those guys push them mon - thurs

And the fact that COACH O of LSU "honestly now knows what he doesn't know" and selects his staff accordingly

He seems to evaluates his staff based on the results they deliver....not their excuses, finger pointing or promises they make for future improvement....their asses are always on the line , because he knows that his *** is always on the line.

So it's not what you did in the past,... it's how you are doing right now...Ask Les Miles

Because at LSU and many other winning programs.. You must adapt and coach and try to win with the players you have right now....Not the ones you wish you had

Ever notice it's ALWAYS the sorriest coaches that blame their own players? ( BTW They NEVER say they coached those same players making those mistakes)

I feel like that..but it’s more than on feild performance that goes into firing...sadly that’s just real..

LoL its enos already way of trying to take the spotlight off of himself, that's the bottom, but he knows he's a **** lie, no team has won a Championship without a system, it goes like this, all teams run down and outs and post routes, the difference is, its when you chose to do it. If aystems dont win championships, why is he calling plays, but than again, i can seewhy he would say that, cause from the looks of his playcalling, he doesnt use a system, he just makes it up as the game goes on, which is why we looked different every week on offense, so i can see where he coming from, i can respect that, if that's what he's doing, cause hopefully he doesnt have a system, cause it would be a travesty to have a system and still be dead last in certain categories. Like i always say, if you gone last in something, why waist time and practice, you can be last without all that, the enos already motto is simple: Systems are overrated!

he just means his system doesn't win championships.

No sh*t, player and coaches win ships, However, there is a reason no one runs the wishbone, wing-t and other archaic offense’s anymore. They don’t put players in a position to be successful!
Those offenses won countless championship in their day. Nebraska, Oklahoma, ND, and Alabama won bunches of championships running those O’s. Guess what? they are obsolete now. NO ONE runs them. Because the no longer worked. They no longer gavethe teams that ran them an advantage. It put them at a disadvantage, largely because of teams like Miami, which decided to use the field vertically and throwing the ball over the yard. Alabama and the rest of college football adapts and adapts again with the spread( using the field horizontally with tempo).
Yet Miami is married to the “PRO” style offense. THAT DOESNT WORK HERE AND HASNT WORKED IN TWO DECADES. **** let’s get with the times.
