What Are Your Expectations For 2024?

Would you say this team’s talent is on par with those Shannon/Golden/Diaz teams? I mean if you do, then your point stands and it means you don’t believe in recruiting or portal additions. Let’s be real. Those were nine win teams but they always found a way to lose a game or two to lesser talented teams every year so they’d always finish with 7 or 8 wins.

This year’s team is more talented than every opponent on their schedule. They could lose two games to lesser opponents and still finish 10-2. Even if you factor in the annual blunders it would almost be hard for this team to win 7 games with this schedule. Assuming Cam Ward doesn’t get injured and miss significant time

You can categorize elite however you like but we have not objectively had this level of overall talent & depth here in awhile + a very manageable schedule. The key is the qb and having someone like Ward gives us the shot to make serious noise.
 
No less than 9-3. Even if injuries or some other unforeseen events occur to various positions, as long as Ward stays in 1 piece with the schedule we have this is a 9/10 W caliber team.

As one who doesn't make predictions any longer, arguably we have a pretty good roster now along with a weak schedule. We shall see 👀
 
The schedule is weak which is on par with where the ACC stacks up. Four toss up games in my eyes:
At the Gaytor, at Cal, at Lville and home to FSPoo. Heck, I’ll even throw in at Cuse for good measure. So five games.
Catastrophic- 7 and 5. CIS and other sites will be doing damage control for months after the season.
Respectable - 9 and 3. Must win bowl game though, improving to 10-3.
Expected - Vegas has O/U win total at 9.5. A 10 win regular season and it might get you to ACCCG.
Success - 11 wins or more. You more than likely played in the ACCCG and hopefully came away with a win.

not from me. I’m reasonable with my expectations. We should be favored in every single game. 10 wins is a reasonable expectation for this roster going up against this schedule.

Virginia Tech is better than 4 of those 5 teams. Georgia Tech is another we always seem to struggle with and they'll have a dangerous offense.

I think the expectation should be 10 wins but I'm never going to be surprised when this program goes 7-5 or 8-4 and loses games it shouldn't.
