What are you thoughts on Bobby Bowden?

I played for Bobby his last year "coaching". He is the definition of a "good ol boy". Very humble, generous, and always talking about hunting. Funny as **** because he doesn't care what comes out his mouth. When he gets mad, that old fart has a way of making you feel like complete **** while cursing you out.

He left a year or two too late. His last few years he didn't do a lick of coaching and rode around all practice in a golf cart.

Him wanting to play UM had nothing to do with maintaining a recruiting presence in soFla.

I really like BB. Great Christian man who is very religious. He just happened to coach at a school that I loathe to my inner core.

So you are expecting a coach to come out and say before a game that their players are horrible and shouldn't be there? I am sure they would of felt motivated for the game after that. To be honest I was surprised he admitted it at all. You know for a fact if it was reversed you would be turning on the coach for saying it, especially before the game.

Did they look motivated that game? Listen, he was a whiner. His players were whiners. Remember 1993? They got spanked by Notre Dame. What did the polls do? Dropped them to #2 . I respect them more than UF, but that's not saying much at all.
 
Was it Laveranues Coles who was offered a scholarship at Miami, then did something stupid to get in trouble and FSU snapped him up?

He was more than willing to bend his ethics and overlook a lot in order to win. That's not admirable. Just ask Joe Paterno.
 
Had one of the GOAT lines when he said they were going to write "But he played Miami" on his tombstone.

If bobby didnt coach fsu.... they wouldnt be relevant enough to be a rival... **** near 40 yrs .... if u dont respect that, ur allergic to greatness in any form

We lost early that year at Washington and rolled after the FSU game. There is no logical reason at all that we didn't get the opportunity to beat the **** out of OU, which is what would've happened.

You are correct.All I remembered was that we beat them and had the same record at the end of the year.We should have played for the NC and Bowden showed us no respect when asked about it.He even laughed about it.Like I said,pile of ****.

It must be some form of ailment not unlike that which affect folks who have been abused by their captors.
But....but...."we have to love Bowden because he played us!"
Never mind he NEEDED to play us because his program relies heavily on soFla talent.
UM was actually doing him a favor, and that was repaid by his classless antics after the Barnes' murder
as well as playing a big part in making the recruiting landscape down here into a cesspool.
He also represented a program whose fans celebrated our temporary demise at the hands of the
NCAA, in many instances praying for steeper sanctions, even the Death Penalty.
Those folks hate everything about UM, including soFla.
Yet here you are like a bunch of dumb-bots spewing some idiotic catch-phrases about him being
a "good ole boy" who blessed us by keeping our Canes in his schedule.
Shame on UM fans for giving this phony degenerate coach any kind of love, much less respect.
