Tool or Behemoth
Metallica had exactly 1 great album. Don't get me wrong, it's amazing as are their concerts, but best band ever?Aerosmith is horrendous. “You’re amaaaaaazzzinnnng.” What? Then there’s, “Crazzzzy, craaaaaazy for you baaaaaby.” Kill me now.
I think you can make an argument for three, Stones, LZ, and Beatles.Metallica had exactly 1 great album. Don't get me wrong, it's amazing as are their concerts, but best band ever?
Oh these it's 311 for me. Great live showAerosmith is horrendous. “You’re amaaaaaazzzinnnng.” What? Then there’s, “Crazzzzy, craaaaaazy for you baaaaaby.” Kill me now.

Also at the House of Blues in Orlando....that place felt like a death trap. Had to be almost 3k people stuffed in there the entire time I was figuring out the quickest way out of there is the **** hit the fan.
I definitely don't think they are best band ever but I'm kinda dead at "1 great album."Metallica had exactly 1 great album. Don't get me wrong, it's amazing as are their concerts, but best band ever?
Which album do you think is on level with the Black album? That's the album that made them a household name.I definitely don't think they are best band ever but I'm kinda dead at "1 great album."
I guess it depends on how we are defining great. If “great” = breaking into the mainstream then I can see your point.Which album do you think is on level with the Black album? That's the album that made them a household name.
And still had nowhere near the impact. It's like trying to explain how The Specials were the biggest Ska band, while Ska was just a small niche.I guess it depends on how we are defining great. If “great” = breaking into the mainstream then I can see your point.
If we are talking great in terms of metal influence and development of the genre, then I am putting RTL, MOP, and AJFA above the Black Album in terms of greatness. MOP was one of the single most important albums for the genre.
That's a helluva story thanks for sharing RITM was something else. Not sure if you were into electronic music AND from central Florida (or around there) but if so did you ever see the movie Technobabble?Very cool. Always liked that song. HOB is a cool place. I saw Rabbit in the Moon there. Got destroyed off Long Islands and passed out in my car after the show.
I remember waking the next morning with my right leg hanging out of the car window because I was in the passenger seat for some reason. Meanwhile, a family of four walked by my car looking at me like, “Who is this ******* degenerate?” It was like 7am and they were probably grabbing breakfast somewhere in Downtown Disney.
At least I didn’t drive!

It is terrible but sorta charming especially if you invested any time in the scene back then:
