What are the odds they don’t drop BYU

It’s certainly down to 1 spot between Miami/ND. Only question now: does Alabama/Georgia even matter? If you’re going to put in one or the other it doesn’t really matter if they’re ranked back-to-back. But the committee is living by its own rules.
I’m not seeing that Bama matters unless they get stomped, which is highly unlikely. They’re -3,000 now to make the playoff.

it's too loud, we're in

if this was a big 10 or SEC team right now? we'd be ****ed since they control the format and everything with the playoff

independent ND?

nah we're in

We have a common opponent with BYU. They beat Stanford 27-3. We beat Stanford 42-7.

We have at least 1 common opponent with the teams ranked #9, #10, #11 and #13. And every one of those game benefit us.

#9 Alabama lost to FSU, who we dominated
#10 Notre Dame - WE BEAT THEM and had a larger margin of victory against 3 of our 4 common opponents
#11 BYU beat Stanford 27-3. We beat Stanford 42-7.
#12 Texas lost to UF, who we dominated

We check every box compared to every team around us.

Was this game indicative of TT's offense this season? They didn't look all that dominant to me, though I haven't watch their games this season. Also, who did they play this season for a SOR so high?

I just think if Bama loses to get to 3 losses, I don’t understand how us and ND aren’t in.
That FSU loss has got to be the worst loss of any team being considered.
That’s a bad FSU team and they were beaten handily in that game.
In defense of Bama, if they finished 10-2 and didn't play today would they be in? Prob yes. So, I have a hard time seeing the committee pushing them down past us and out of the bracket if they lose today. They will definitely push them below ND, but we will still be out.
We have to have Bama win, but I am concerned that they can do that.

BYU twice now and Utah.

Yes, their offense is an Air Raid in theory and the passing concepts are indeed AR, but functionally they really lean on their run game and are frankly one dimensional.

This was a good combo for dominating the outclassed Big12 teams they faced all year but I think they’re in for a rude shock in the playoffs. Some team is going to hold them to 10 points or something.

I don’t understand why there’s no outrage about Ole Miss still in it. I mean they don’t have a coach. That drastically changes their team much like FSU in 23 without Travis, no? I guess because they’re SEC they ignore that.

TT beat Utah and a few other big programs. But most importantly TT has some of the biggest funding this year. There Coach is a Tx legend. It's all startup money and not about the bs nepo

Call it PTSD all of my life, but like officiating crews, I would be shocked to see any committee put us in over a college football and media darling…
Understand-This is the first time you have two power-4 teams with identical records who played each other in the regular season with us winning in convincing fashion- Most sane people have us getting in.
