What are the hiring criteria?

Gentlemen.

A great coach never costs the University a dime. Great coordinators - never cost a dime.

Oh, they get their paychecks - but they also generate so much more excess revenue above what they earn - they way more than pay their own way.

You'd think a university - with ANY pretense of having finance and marketing experts - would know this.
this is a great post that makes a great point. you want a coach that is an asset and not a liability, an investment and not an expenditure.

I know not many people are a fan but Dino would kill it here. You know he doesn't get blue Chip players in Syracuse and he has made every program he's been in respectable. Give him a high budget and the fans will come along with the W's. I'm sure if we were to face Clemson in the ACC title game, we wouldn't be getting blown out like these previous coaches.
