Little Dude is 2, getting ready to go to his first canes game. Do I need to buy him a ticket?

If you want him to have his own seat, yes.

Otherwise, though, I don’t know the actual policy is. 2 year olds have no clue what’s going on at a game other than they’ll get over excited.

2 year olds get in free but if you are taking the little guy to a game in September make sure you get a Club Seat so that you can take some breaks from the scorching heat in the air conditioning.

Yes you have to pay for his seat. But take him up to the family 400 section to keep it semi-PG rated.

This is excellent advice. Might also prevent you from having to put those ridiculous tarmac flight crew headphones on the kid too.

Jokes aside, the environment at football games in general is what it is and families really need to judge what level of language, drunkeness, etc that theyre comfortable with their kid being around. Not saying anyone (that's wearing Canes gear) should ever fear for their physical safety but I've also seen parents (especially when the stadium is full) look like they've seen a ghost when F bombs start flying too.

Section 232 is no alcohol in the club level and a family friendly zone. I had tickets there in the past and got an email saying that any alcohol or abusive language could result in being escorted out. The prices aren't bad, either.

When must tickets be purchased for a child?

Depends on the size and temperament of the child

This one requires his own seat, and does NOT play well with others.....so he's had to buy tickets since age two

Use
https://seatgeek.com/venues/hard-rock-stadium/seating-chart

It gives you the field sight lines from any section.

In short, you can see the game well from almost any area in Hard Rock.

There's no bad sight lines in Hard Rock but if you want to sit on the sidelines, even in the upper level, it's going to cost you more money. If you're **** bent on FSU tickets, the earlier you can get them the better. They will only go up in price as game day approaches even if one or both teams are performing below expectations. That seat in particular is lower level east end zone. You'll be directly in line with the FSU sideline.
