What a bold move by Mark Richt!

I'm just wondering what @Stefan Adams meant with Richt saying it was pre planned? Please don't tell me that was some punishment for sleeping in class or saying he was shushing the fans and he's the starter crap is the next thing we hear.

Richt said post-game the plan was to put Perry in on the third series regardless and let each QB’s play dictate how he managed their snaps. Said after the back-to-back TD drives by Perry, he had to ride the hot hand

Perry can throw the ball. Not staring down WR comes with experience and knowing the offense. If you notice Harley and Jordan and plenty catches because Perry can throw the ball accurately and with anticipation over the middle of the field. That means we can convert on 3rd and medium and long. The guy is the future and the present.

It took balls to pull a 50 % passer ? That’s known around cfb as being one of the worst starters in power five? Every insider that talks about Um questions the qb play, it’s bedn the pink elephant in the room that’s finally been put to sleep.

Let’s just be real , it didn’t take balls.
Coming off two games where he played very well. It's always a tough choice pulling a 5th senior who has more experience and a better understanding of the playbook for a Redshirt freshman who has never started a college game in his life.

Ok thanks. That sounds better and more assuring than the usual from Richt.

Richt might have wanted to do this at LSU as well but Perry was obviously suspended.

Both CMR and Perry said in their post game presser that they planned on putting Perry in on the 3rd set of snaps. CMR said the plan was to "see how it went". When Perry seemed comfortable he left him in. Perry pretty much reaffirmed this He said he didn't know going in how long he would play

Very well?

He played pretty well against Toledo , Sav State doesn’t count for anyone.

He was passed due to pull this dude, everyone around the country has been waiting for this . Every game the announcers talk about the issue at qb”.

It’s not ballsy, it’s late as ****. If anything it was ballsy to keep rolling 12 out there, bordering on insanity.

I think it was pre-planned as in: if we don't have any points or splash plays by the third series, then he'll pull Malik. I am amazed he did it at all in a close game... I have no idea what he'll do next week. But he is going to be hard pressed to trot 12 back out there from what I saw.

50% completion percentage, 3:2 TD to INT ratio. (UNC, VT, ND)

With our quarterback options last year we would have beat unc VT and ND? Funny don't mention his running numbers that game.

He was the best option we had last year and won ten games along with Acc title birth. Last year preseason that's what we all would have dreamed of.

**** that's still our goal this year (but a more competitive game vs Clemson). 10-2 is very possible and after LSU loss any one of us would take that and another acc champship birth in a second.

I liked every second of it. Looks like we have a new number 1 QB. He looks he part.
Seems depth at the position is better than I can remember.
Perry looked very good.
I thought he looked good as well. There were a few throws that he got away with for completions that could be ints against better competition. That's part of the learning process.
