What’s the latest on an AD?

Mike Ryan hinted that the people at UM playing AD are liking it a little too much and on the OBB pod Rudy Fernandez kinda said the same. Teased a CEO of Athletics as opposed to an AD role.

That’s really unorthodox but I don’t hate it. My lone worry with that, inevitably another hire will be coming in a major sport. How does that decision making go down?

True. Most ADs are just glorified fundraisers. So I wouldn’t hate hiring a business person to keep us relevant in the business of college sports.
 
you have such enormous staff in athletics. Every sport has a compliance, travel, scheduling etc why do we need one. Agree with major function is fundraising.
