What’s the deal with the Ads?

That literally happens constantly on This site now. It’s incredibly frustrating because you can’t even really read a thread on here anymore before it refreshes and forget trying to leave a comment.

It’s definitely a little better right now D money. Thank you for working on it because it was getting brutal on here before.

It’s been a lot worse in the last month D. I just scroll on this website from my iPhone and it’s absolutely brutal the last month. Ad after ad is constantly loading, and the page is constantly refreshing. So if you’re trying to navigate the site to different boards right when you click on the board an ad comes up blocking it. If you’re just trying to read a thread, the ads will come up sporadically moving the whole thread up and down, and you lose your place of what you were even reading. And worst of all, if you try to leave a comment on a page, the page just automatically refreshes and you’ve been writing this whole comment the whole time and now it’s just gone. You’ve always had ads on here, but for some reason the last month it’s become almost unreadable on this site because of the constant ads.

The main issue D, is anytime you try to navigate this site right when you click on a button whether it would be to check people’s comments they’ve left on yours or to navigate between boards right when you go to hit it an ad pops up blocking your movement to whatever thing you were trying to click on. Also, if you’re reading a thread adds pop-up constantly moving the whole thread up and down and you completely lose your place and what you were reading, which is incredibly frustrating. Also, if you try to leave a comment on someone’s post, the website just refreshes and whatever you were writing disappears and you have to start all over again. And all of this over the last month has become so bad, you almost don’t want to come to the site anymore.

I don’t use the desktop as much but yes it’s worse for that. The mobile experience is atrocious. I appreciate the need for ads but it doesn’t make me want to visit and engage as much.

Lol. My annual sub ran out recently & I've just anger swiped the stupid ads away.. This thread inspired me to take the time to go look how to resubmit payment. I'd rather be water boarded than navigate settings lol. All good now.

I get they are paid advertisements that keep your page up but cmon man. I don’t want to get HR calling me to their office.

I don’t really mind the ads but the site just crashes too often, idk if it’s me but I could scroll too fast and its done
 
If the ads are bothering you on a free site, pay the $20-$30 for premium and you will never see them again. Support the site that is supporting us with the best Canes info around.
