goldenAl says when he got there he was blindsided by NCAA investigation. "We're still on probation. ..It is what it is.''

So basically:

Golden = Obama

****, Obama has done a **** of a lot better record than Golden!

Then with that logic Golden will go down as the worst D1 coach in the history of college football.

So he just went 6-7 with a roster of NFL talent but there's No pressure to turn it around. Him and dorito will just go back to cramming donuts in there mouth

Why should he feel pressure to turn this around? The administration doesn't care about football, or athletics. As long as there are no scandals, the administration is happy, regardless of the product on the field.

Q. You've mined the recruiting territory in North Carolina pretty well. At the same time you've had to not only fight the battle of rebuilding a national powerhouse, but you've had a slightly fractured fan and alumni base. To have to put out fires on that front and still compete in a competitive conference with the expectations that come where you are, you've had success at every stop, but is it a little tougher when you have so many things going on so many fronts?

COACH GOLDEN: I don't worry about those other fronts. There's nothing I can do about it. Again, when we got here, obviously we were blindsided. An investigation that lasted two and a half years. We're still on probation. We're still not at 85 scholarships. It is what it is. There's nothing we can do about it. From that standpoint, I just look at the positives. None of the stuff that we're in right now was in place not even two years ago. We have a $20 million football facility. We just sent $7 million on our practice fields. A couple summers ago we didn't have any fields. We're installing lights right now. We have a $4 million training table. We're doing a $120 million medical facility adjacent to our football field, which is going to have sports performance, MRIs, outpatient surgery, a great addition for our student-athletes. Obviously with the generosity of the Dolphins, we're going to have a $400 million palace to play in. From that standpoint, I don't worry about the rest of that stuff. At the end of the day, you know, as a leader you got to sit up there and take it and you got to lead and you got to build strategic and tactical systems and move the program forward. That's what we're doing.

Not sure what the question was but the actual was 9 'ships taken away over three yrs. Last yr we were under 80 and this yr I believe we are 79 or 80 players on 'ships. Have to think we have used 8 of the 9 with one left for next year...

This ************

Un ****ing believable

"It is what it is"...in other words..I''l milk this as long as I can.

LMFAO...exactly, I have no idea why anybody is shocked with comments like this from Mr. No Excuses.

I guess, technically, he is correct until the end of this year....but it should have zero effect on how good the team should have been last year or this year.

He knows this year will be even tougher without all of his lost talent to the NFL...and he couldn't do **** with them, so back to probation talk.

UM

I do feel for Golden on the situation he stepped into, and I think it's now underplayed what a negative effect that had on the program for a couple years.

But to keep using as an excuse, especially at ACC media days a month before the season even starts, is pretty much a joke. It's like we already have a mentality of failure

He stepped into the best situation on the planet - he's paid millions of dollars, performs like dogshlt as an employee, and gets to keep his job.

At this point, he's openly mocking everyone calling for his head by saying there isn't pressure to succeed and continuing to reference the investigation. The investigation means absolutely nothing when you lose to teams you out-recruit. The cloud is meaningless when you're losing to teams with inferior talent.

He knows he has job security, because UM doesn't give a rats *** about the success of the football program. Fck him.
