Weldon gets to go “animal house” but other players get dismissed

You cant be openly insubordinate to coaches in front of the whole team. Actions have consequences. No one is perfect, and when these young kids make mistakes they are given second chances. Going off on the coaches is not a mistake. To try and compare Cade Weldon's issues to this is retarded. It shows that hes extremely immature for smoking weed and ****ing hot. Richt did the same thing in college so you know he doesn't care.

What I want to know is:
1. What caused JT4 to go off? (Was he loafing in practice / something effort related, or was it him being rightfully upset at utilization)

2. What did he say? (If he called them out for running the worst offense in CFB history then great, or if just didnt like being punished for being lazy / unfocused)

Either way, it shows JT4 is immature, regardless of what hes been through. The problem to me is that the UM coaches cant work together and find a way to motivate him and help him through his struggles. Good coaches find ways to reach their players and inspire them to win.

he didnt want to be here from what it sounds like. he was gone in the summer and was talked back into coming back. it wasnt a one time thing from thomas and that's clear by the (mutual) decision done here

I agree to some extent but with how this season has gone he should be upset. Richt and Co have been unorganized and un prepared. Give me players that give a fawk any day. This whole thing has been mismanaged and a sh*tshow. He better hope he beats UF or its going to get ugly.

As much as I hate how kids transfer and quit all the time, I tend to agree with this statement, in this situation. Kid has a daughter and is going back to a place where he might not make it out of. They don’t need to let him walk away just like that

they didnt let him. manny said they were trying to work it out w him. ****, even post practice, all quotes read the same, as well. it sounds like they spoke with thomas and thomas said he wanted out which is what D and Stefan both stated

Thats BS though kids arent all built the same. U gotta know how to manage it all. Weldon’s @ss should be gone. That fake nice guy act Richt is putting on wearing thin.

LMAO - you just articulated EXACTLY what Stefan is referencing in his post.

Nobody is happy about this situation. Dude is one of the elite talents at wr in the entire nation. However, sometimes its is best for the entire team to rid an organization of toxic situations. From everything ive heard although supremely talented, he was quite a cancer in the locker room and had a very poor attitude. You cant have that in any team sport. As bad as the coaching has been on the offensive side of the ball, having somebody spread that ****** attitude and allow the cancer to overtake the entire locker room cannot happen and the coaches cut that off today so now weve just gotta move forward and deal with it

the recent 4 game suspension was for his third test for weed per the student-athlete handbook guidelines

This is not accurate. I have heard from two credible people that Weldon was suspended for a far more serious issue than a little sticky icky.

When did Weldon throw a temper tantrum and yell at coaches? Gerald Willis dame thing.

If you come in late to work would you be fired? Doubt it. Now if you came in late to work then told your boss to **** off I do what I want probably would get fired on the spot. Comparing the two situations is apple and oranges once you act like your bigger then the team then you can get the **** out.

Let u tell it jeff thomas is the only player to throw a tantrum in america

Multiple levels of ignorance and hate in your post above.

People who think like this is what is a huge problem with what is the matter with America. If I act obnoxious I have more of a chance of getting my way then following the rules is a terrible mentality. How many jobs have you been fired from in your life if you seriously think like that?

@SFbayCane that is ment for post you quoted.

I think a more dignified person, let's say someone of the screen caliber of Kenneth, might put it something like this:

"The separation of Mr Thomas and the University of Miami appears to be in the best interest of both parties."

Spot on. And this is exactly the "cancer" Coach Brown spoke about that got so many panties here in a wad. Can't have dissension in a lockerroom, on a fighting force, in a business, any team environment where you want success. It rots everything else out eventually.

Though I'll miss his talent, I say good riddance to JT4.
