Weldon gets to go “animal house” but other players get dismissed

Nah. He wants "Yes sir and No sir players" if you disagree show me on the film how we can improve. Not pout and quit.

In 12 weeks the offensive coaching staff have prove week in and week out that they are clueless in using talent or how to improve tgem. Respect is earned when you show you are competent in doing your work. The staff failed miserably and have failed to all his players. They have lost confidence on the staff. Now they will pay these pay the price. Thomas was the brave one.

You can try to spin it anyway you want by comparing it to Willis, Perry or Weldon ... they all effed up but neither them ever quit on their team which is a cardinal sin for most things in life, you never flat out quit.

Just wish Thomas the best in east St. Louis and hope he figures it out, it’s always tough when you have a kid.

Weldon goes to class , for the most part.

The quitter , not so much. As in hardly ever.

Not only do I agree, but I took a look at both the UM student athlete handbook and NCAA guidelines and his coddling of Cade could be Richt's undoing. Weldon's 4 game suspension (after last year's 1 game suspension) means Cade is a repeat offender. If it was for weed, his 1 game suspension would've been his SECOND failed test. Any other drugs and its one game.

But 4 games doesn't fit the UM guidelines for suspensions. Meaning he's failed more than 2 tests. Once someone fails 3 tests a lot of things are supposed to happen. Stuff like community service, contacting family, rehab and possible DISMISSAL FROM THE PROGRAM. NCAA guidelines say if a school has a drug testing policy its rules MUST BE enforced.

Idk if he is protecting Cade or not. No clue. But sweeping multiple failed tests under the rug is a big deal.

Wait IF A SCHOOL HAS A DRUG TESTING POLICY????? Why the **** would a school have a drug testing policy if it is not mandatory by the NCAA?

Seriously? Why are the other players held to a different standard than Weldon?? The guy has been suspended 3-4 times yet he’s still here.

JT is the best player on the **** team.

Get Right the fluck out my face!

The one thing you can’t say about Richt is he holds everyone accountable. Starters and non-starters have been suspended for their transgressions. Weldon was held accountable for his transgressions. It appears Thomas didn’t want to be held accountable. Thomas is one of the teams best players, As such more is expected of Thomas at this stage. If Thomas refused to be held accountable than there is no other choice but to let him go. Do you really believe, if Weldon refused to accept his punishment, he wouldn’t have been let go. Your argument would be stronger if Richt was selective with his punishments but he certainly is not.

And yes, Cade should be dismissed.

Main difference Weldon didn’t quit when disciplined. Neither did Willis and was given time to work through personal issues. I am sure if Thomas needed time Richt would have given it. Totally different case from what it sounds like.
