I'm the most miserable, pessimistic prick out there when it comes to the current state of Miami football but Jesus we can only get TWO mother ******* pages for The Playmakers kid?? And half those posts are about another kid?? This is probably one of the biggest legacies for our school!! We are ******* pathetic! Welcome to the U, Mike!! I'm ready for you to wreck ****!

Welcome to the U. I think Irvin will excel better at the slot position after a redshirt year if he has one. He will not only bring blocking ability to that position which would be easier than blocking a DE at TE but he will also abuse a nickel and be able to shield them while catching multiple balls. We need to stack talent at the WR position, no need for our staff to gamble this year and we also need to take advantage of redshirting players.

An now he sends his boy to back up his statements and in essence putting his money where his mouth his if this commitment buzz is true. Welcome to the U young man, your a legacy.

I love the U and I'm happy his son has committed, but even Michael can't sell me the Brooklyn Bridge (Al Golden). I too understand that the Nevin thing was a bombshell and it takes time, but the reality is Al cannot assemble a staff or be a head coach. Also there are better receivers in SoFl available than Michael's son.

I really think your going to retract that statement after this yr he has at STA. Kid can ball. already well developed. has size, can catch. he will be a very good TE or good Possession WR . I would like Pie Young, Victor, among others but they not looking this way from what im seeing. yo do know he caught 22 Receptions in 1 game against IMG right?

Yep ran right over img.

Mike Irvin Jr is the one Catching the TD's Against those DB's from IMG Academy (Fall 2014)

He's going to be better than Naseir Upshur. That's 3 commits from STA, and Miami leads for Asante Samuel Jr. & probably Sapp also.

Miami owns that school, not UF.....

Upshur is overrated

Now that we aren't in the picture he is overrated. I mean, look at the schools left on his list. Just come mediocre places no one has ever heard of. FSU? Michigan? Alabama? Who are these guys?

I'm not saying Irvin is any better but upshur is overrated

Upshur had Mich St. and Bama on him for a very long time. The kid has a ridiculous offer sheet.

after watching that, im willing to give AL another year. If the playmaker thinks we should, then i guess im down with the idea as well

Great pickup. Me thinks he's an "Alfredo Roberts" type TE. I don't see WR. This makes losing Upshur okay. I'll take a kid who has great bloodlines, fundamentals, and is playing for a top notch local school any day over Upshur.

And it doesn't hurt he catches everything that touches his hands. I think he has a big time year for STA.

Good feet. Good size. If he outgrows the TE position we might have the next dominated LT here.

**** how do you go from one the nations best Big WR's/ pass catching TE's to a LT that is requires a lot of Prime Rib, not to mention his pops would never let that happen.

But then again I hoping you were being sarcastic in taking a shot at how AL Golden likes to put weight on his players once they get to Miami.

Go Canes

should be used as a big sure handed wr, but golden well make him pack on the weight and demand that he become a dependable blocker before he gets any playing time. same dumb stuff we're doing with njoku. Golden doesn't understand that a tall wr or te can provide value without being a great blocker.
