Welcome to The U Tyler Byrd

I want to show love to this kid for flipping from the Turds and he looks like a great prospect, but pardon me if I'm not excited just yet. Tomorrow is going to be a slow, painful death as I watch these ****tards act like I'm an idiot and tell me they didn't close because of fan negativity, sanctions and whatever the **** else they want to come up with. Glad to have you aboard son.

Exactly how I feel. Byrd looks like a potential stud, but I can't get excited about a 2016 commit knowing what will likely end up happening to that class because we didn't make a coaching change when we should have.

They are creating a smoke screen for tomorrow. We will whiff on mostly everyone we want, miss out on people we should have offered and everyone will be ****ed. The spring ball comes around and he will say "yeah we are excited and are doing a good job with the class of 2016" this is his plan to make everyone forget tomorrow that much faster.

Sweet another kid who will remain committed right up until he visits FSU in December and signs with them in February 2016

We're flipping 2016 kids while 2015 kids flipping from us. Yay. :hair-fire:

Could be worse.... both classes could be flipping away... Let's brace ourselves for the Sock...plan for the worst hope for anything positive...thats all we can control

Simply put, this kid could be the best corner in Florida next year. Incredibly talented and is in a great program where he will be ready to compete day 1.

It's not positive news when we all know darn well these commitments mean NOTHING. It's positive when they sign, not when they use the word commitment. Most of them don't know the meaning of the word.

4 star prospect flips from Florida and commits to the U!! He is a really good ATH. explosive and fast. Lets welcome him to the U the right way!!!

aples High School junior Tyler Byrd is the best college recruit in the area and among the best in the country according to one prominent national rankings list.

Byrd, a University of Miami commit, recently was tabbed the 51st-best player in the Class of 2016 by ESPN. The 6-foot, 194-pound receiver and defensive back is the only Southwest Florida player named in the ESPN Junior 300.

A four-star recruit (out of five), Byrd is listed simply as an athlete because of his two-way ability. On ESPN's list of the best athletes in the junior class, Byrd is No. 4 in the nation and the top one in Florida. He's also ranked the No. 11 overall junior player in the state.

Byrd captured the area's attention by totaling 759 all-purpose yards and nine touchdowns as a freshman. He led the team with 451 receiving yards and eight touchdowns in 2012.

Last year Byrd switched to defensive back, where he had 48 tackles and two interceptions. He also filled in at receiver late in the season, playing on both sides of the ball. This past spring Byrd won a state championship in the long jump.

No local players were listed in the ESPN Senior 300 rankings of the best players in the Class of 2015.

The worst thing that can happen is that the 2016 class beats the 2015 class for most decommits in the history of UM football.

The best thing that can happen is that we actually become relevant next year and these kids stick and bring more friends with them.

The middle ground is that Al gets fired, we bring in a proven coach with a great staff, and we can hang onto 50% of the kids.
