There is an insane amount of inconsistency when it comes to resuming the clock under 2 minutes after gaining a first down.


I’ve seen games where they start it up right as the refs spot the ball. Then in random games (usually SEC) they don’t start the clock until the ball is snapped.

I agree, but you have literally no leeway if you're not in the SEC.

Florida beat Ole Miss and got catapulted up the rankings. They then got obliterated by Missouri and are still ranked.

If Pitt loses 2 games they're not going to be ranked (which I'm sure he has financial incentives tied up with), so of course he's pushing for a ranking. Wake would mollywhop half the SEC and they're not ranked. It's a scam.
