It’s actually insane we dominated 4 1st round RBs last year (Ole Miss*, UF, and ND^2). Louisville’s rushing attack was easily the best in the country last year; and people really discounted their RB injuries contributing to their losing streak.
*Obviously cannot discount his longest run; still, Lacey had 11 carries for 103 yards; had a 73 yard rushing td; 10 for 30 yards without it. Again not discounting the long run at the start of the 2nd quarter; yet, Ole Miss did not run with him as much as they should because we kept him contained (no explosive runs or more than 10 yards; 2, 2, 73, 0, 2, 4, 8, 5, 3, 2, 2) 10 outta 11 times so they didn’t trust it. Helps their quarterback was deadly slicing up defenses as well.
