Week 1 slate

I don’t think Arkansas smokes anyone. They lose Burks and he was a massive part of their passing game. He was a beast. I don’t see game breakers on their offense. Cincy loses a lot but they’ll play good d

I should say smokes the line. I only think in gambling terms this time of year. I think both beat the spread by a touchdown.

I can’t wait to sit at the local bar tomorrow night in a Miami jersey rooting for Purdue at the top of my lungs surrounded by PSU fans while drinking yuengling lagers til my eyes fall out. Football is back. The only thing I love as much as our Canes is hating the Nittany Lions especially now that lispy is there.

I can see Oregon hanging around for about 2.5 quarters but UGA will break the game open in the 3rd with two big DEF TDs.

7 or 10pt game will quickly turn into a 21 or 24pt game...and UGA closes the door in the 4th....30-17 UGA

Upset pick is UF over Utah. Utah will get the best version of UF...and if we're talking about talent, UF has more talent than Utah in the same manner that we annually have had more talent than our Coastal counterparts the last decade plus. This game will be about Napier's coaching ability. This will not be the same team that went toe to toe with OSU....lot of talent that left l, such as the All erican LB.

You obviously haven't seen this Utah team. They gonna stomp the gates.

I don’t expect Georgia to run the table again in the regular season, way too much to replace. I know they are stacked with talent, but still a ton of new players. With that being said, I still expect them to load the box and make Nix beat them so I’m with you. I don’t see that happening lol. I do think Oregon’s defense can give UGA some problems though. I expect UGA to pull away & cover late.
If they beat Oregon, there's a good chance they run the table in the regular season
Unfortunately, their schedule is set up nicely.

Purdue is good. Very good. Take them and the points all day.
Disagree. They lost most of their pass catchers, and losing Karlaftis on the D-line is huge. Purdue was one of the worst teams in the country in terms of running the ball, and even a Manny Diaz defense can handle a one-dimensional aerial offense. Clifford is basically a grandpa at this point, but he had a pretty good command of the offense before getting hurt; first time he's had continuity at OC as well.

I know Franklin just got his fat extension blah blah blah, but this is a big game for him. Last two years or so have been disappointing for the program, and starting 0-1 in BIG 10 play (especially losing against a team with a plethora of regression signals) would not sit well in Happy Valley.

Penn St -3, I hit it pretty good. If Purdue wins, it's because Brohm out-schemed Diaz for all four quarters in a shoot-out. Is it possible? Absolutely, especially when you consider the D-coordinator in charge; but I don't see their defense holding Penn St. under 30, and Manny's stupid blitzes will eventually work... especially if Purdue can't run and has to rely on inexperienced pass-catchers to consistently create separation for 60 min.

I've got Penn St 34-24.

Some other games i've circled...

Louisville -3 @ Cuse: Tucker is a beast, but their D-line is small and very little depth...the Cardinals are stout up front and should control the LOS, eventually pulling away. Again, huge game for Satterfield and his job security, but instead of taking Louisville's season win total, I'd rather just bet this initial game. They won't hit their mark if they can't beat Garrett Schrader and the Orange.

Michigan St -12.5 1H vs. Western Michigan: I'm not high on the Spartans this season, and that pass defense truly was atrocious...but that's not an issue when your opposition cannot throw the ball. The Broncos have two options at QB - a redshirt freshman who completed 3 of 5 passes for 20 yards in 2021, and another redshirt freshman who did not attempt a pass, but ran the ball four times. They have an elite rushing attack, but Tucker will stack that box and leave his corners on an island. They bring in Berger from Wisco to fill the void of Kenneth Walker, and also snagged Colorado's leading rusher to add depth. They should jump out to a quick lead and cruise the rest of the way, probably will end up also playing -22 full game (or just ride 1H and circle back at the live halftime line if it's closer than initially perceived).

Houston -3 @ UTSA: That offense was really tailored around Sincere McCormick (1500 yds rushing in 2021). The defense is solid and Harris is a decent QB, but Houston returns the lethal combo of Clayton Tune (over 3500 yds passing and 30 TDs) and Nell (over 1300 receiving, put up over 150 vs. Cinci in the AAC Champ game). That d-line is filthy and will cause issues, tough opener but give me the Cougars; also on them to make the AAC Champ game, as they avoid UCF and Cinci in the regular season (huge imo).

Will probably add a fair amount between now and Saturday, also on LSU but i've been on them since late july.

Feel like I'm spamming this thread now lol, but if anyone hasn't seen this...we're going to get a good one tonight.

Also, gonna suck for this guy when he loses 200K.
