we will blow out app state

App State isn't better than VT. UT just played a HORRIBLE game against them and made them look good. VT would beat App State 7 out of 10, even in a rebuilding year. UT crapped the bed the first week.

we have to respect each opponent if not u will find yourself with a loss IE... OKlahoma State. we will have to fight for this win and we will win, will have to depend on the run game and defense

i checked out app state's last 4 recruiting classes...littered with 2 stars all over with a couple of 3 stars sprinkled in. talent-wise it shouldn't even be close. a game like this would've worried me the last 5 years, but these coaches will keep the kids focused.

Miami 41
App State 13

go on the road, dominate, and leave uninjured

It's a lot easier for the other team to make mistakes when the DL is on their QB all night.

Haven't seen App. State play this year, but whoever their QB is will have our DL in his face all night. I'm sure that he will make "a bunch of mistakes" too under duress.

On a side note, with as much pressure as we're getting in the backfield, it'd be nice to see some strips of the football. Maybe our guys are going after it and I just haven't noticed. But I think this is an opportunity for our defense. I'd like to see our defense put some points on the board in a bunch of the games this year.

Fau made a bunch of mistakes tonight. App state is sound. We will need to play well

If Kaaya, the OL, and the WRs don't wake up and improve big time, Miami will lose this game. Miami should win but the way the offense played today against a much worse opponent is downright scary. Could be early season adjusting to the scheme change/getting timing down etc. for Kaaya and WRs but the OL looks like they belong playing for FAU. St. Louis might actually played better than Darling.

People are to caught up in tonight acting like it's gonna mean the offense will struggle the following week. It's a week to week game anything can change we arent showing a lot. We are being simple. Kaaya was off but he will be fine moving forward.

I think we win this game pretty easily too. They won't be able to stop Walton and Yearby. And that will open things up for the passing game.
Then we have a relaxing week to prepare for the Jackets.

Richt and Diaz will make sure a fire is lit this week at practice just watch...

Mark need a big fire for himself, his son and Brad. He can use some Olinemen as logs but when you hire your son as QB coach at The U, kid needs to deliver fast and loud.

I watched some of the App St - Old Dominion game today. They really were not that impressive. ODU might actually be worse than FAMU and App St didn't really blow them out. Then again, we looked pretty sluggish today too so I won't be surprised if it is a relatively close game unless the offense suddenly finds another gear next week. Oh and like Consigliere said, I cannot believe we are actually going to that **** hole to play a game.

I would bet they were looking ahead to next week, just like a lot of other teams were this week. That said, their OL is one of the best in the country. This is a real game, the biggest they've had in Boone, probably the biggest they'll ever have. I can't see any othe P5 AD scheduling them there. Miami is going to have to play better than they did this week on offense. Kaaya will have to get sharper, or it could get interesting.

One of the best OL's in the country?

1. App State is probably only marginally better than FAU on offense. The problem is that App State's D is 10,000 times better. They might only score 17 points on us. But there's no way Miami will score 45.
2. If we play the way we did vs FAU we might lose.
3. With that being said I was not impressed with App State's performance vs Tennessee. Did not watch them play vs Old Dominion.

This.

The Canes must win every snap of every game.

I think we establish the passing game FIRST to open up the run. TN has two good backs but they were one dimensional vs APP. Quick hitters will give the OL confidence and take advantage of our TE's.

Then unleash Walton, Yearby and the Bus.

Looking forward to spending the weekend in the mountains!

I am not going to compare UT to our offense.
From what I have seen the last couple weeks I think we can lineup in the I formation and have Marquez blow up their small front opening things up for our other RBs. It will then open things up for Kaaya. HE is learning how to do the play-action pass in a deceiving way and I think he will perfect it by Saturday.
