They have electricity, let alone internet in Boone?
They have cousins.
Yes, their wives. What does that have to do with anything?
ericsaid it is important. Family breeds together.

Family that breeds together, stays together. I think it says that on North Carolina's license plates.
One thing's for sure....Taylor Lamb is going to get hit...again....and again....and again...and again.
One thing is for sure. App may only throw the ball 15 times and run 45 times. If that's the case i'm sure Lamb will be fine. Wasn't sacked against UTk who has a much better defensive line than Miami and one of the best pass rushers in CFB.

And they won their conference. FAU played them tough in Boone last year btw despite their record.
#1 : App State came in second in conference last season due to a home loss to Arkansas State. State is notorious for ****ting the bed in out of conference play only to put it together in conference.
#2 : App State has never played Florida Atlantic University and are in different conferences. App finished 11-2 and beat an ODU team 49-0 last year that FAU only beat by 3.
#3 : The App St and Tennessee game was close because Apps defensive scheme wrecked the Tennessee offensive line. This is due to play calling and the type of players App has. OLB's that run 4.5 and two inside backers who are sure tacklers. If your offensive line had issues with FAU you are almost certain to have issues with App. I'll venture a guess that App's defensive front seven will be in the top 3 you play all season (FSU, Notre Dame). This isn't blind optimism if you check out defensive rankings for last season and against Tennessee.
That is the fault of their own. If the majority of the fans here were to be believed, App could have been the third winless team in the country from last season. ESPN doesn't generally give national airtime to programs who aren't worth showing.
In the regular season, they went 10-2 against the gauntlet below. Miami might have been winless rather than 8-4 against this level of competition. No?

"Show some class" you mean show some undeserved respect. I came here to set the record straight in certain forums but it won't be in the thread stating "we will blow App State out" cause "P5 v. G5" and "FAU=App State" because it's all moot. App is a Top 10 G5 team and Miami is getting votes right now because of Richt. If you were 2-0 with Golden or Shannon you'd be unranked.
App is receiving votes in the Top 25 Coaches Poll (in fairness it's still early). That said, App has the best defense it's possible ever had and the game against UTk wasn't close because of skill position plays, but the trench play. Winning teams are built from the inside out.
FWIW, no one outside of the state of Florida is high on Miami. You are the Cowboys of College Football, the perennial Top 10 Recruiting, Top 50 team. Until The U makes it back to 90's and at the latest Ken Dorsey days, no one is going to pay much attention. While winning this game won't be much in the grand scheme of the bowl selection process, App is one of the Top 6 teams you'll face this season.
I can't believe we're playing a game in ***ing Boone.

You're in for a rude awakening on Saturday.
You don't know enough about Miami, because you're comparing this year to last. Our defense is a 180 transition from last year. We're allowing .91 yards per carry, despite a 30 yard rushing TD that should have been a tfl.
You're going to get beat by 3 scores and that's generous to you all. Your QB might be out for the season after this weekends beating.
And don't reference who we played. We're number 1 in TFL, tied 2nd in sacks, leading the nation in rushing, etc. Can't do anything more.
Underrated post - Miami is so focused on stopping the run.
I can't believe Eric is still here; he has heart, but Finish Him, quickly.

If you watch the App-UTk game, there is an obvious uptick in offensive efficiency that may not be present in the stat sheet. App didn't pass the ball the past two weeks because they didn't have to. Against UTk the plan was to limit the number of times UT had the ball, don't turn it over and force turnovers (4 forced fumbles, only 1 recovered, 1 INT).

Least Boones a nice area and not some sh**t hole of a place
