We wasted an Elite Defense...

This defense could have went toe to toe with Clemson. If we would of had a solid offense then we would be sitting at 11-1 right now. I bet that locker is a nightmare this season. The defensive player have every right to be ****ed the offense has completely screwed them over from a possible ACC championship

Manny Diaz came in and immediately turned around our defense. Mark Richt came in and immediately was getting outperformed by James Coley in one of Miami's worst season's ever.

Imma say undefeated, honestly. L$U was gift wrapped that game. The middle was open all game. Aranda and the announcers knew our plays before they were called. Besides that big run, we pretty much controlled that LSU game as well. Go back and check the box score.
 
Our defense is not elite.....very good but not elite. Because of the shltty teams we play is what makes the stats good. Our Offense is no help too. But This defense would get scorched by any offense thats above average

It wasn't elite. It was very good with occasional elite spurts but with an equivalent amount of brain fart/eff ups.

It was definitely good enough to complete for an ACC Championship though but if Clemson actually showed up it'd have been hard pressed to keep it within a TD even if our offense miraculously played well.
 
No we didn’t waste it... those guys stepped up and played a great season. The offense wasn’t as far along as the defense so they did w great job of carrying the team.

Comparing the veteran talent on defense to on offense and it’s not even close... your hate for Mark Richt got y’all fighting air lol great season Miami Hurricanes!!

Things kinda flipped from Golden's reign. Bad defense is now the bad and horrible terrible offense!!
 
It was easily good enough to win the coastal. Then it's possible to hang with Clemson for a playoff play-in game. Seriously, just an average offense and this team is looking at a possible playoff spot. That is how bad Rick has been, and it sounds like he isn't going to change.
 
For those in this thread saying the defense isnt elite, I dont necessarily disagree. But, I also think its hard to really judge this defense without ever seeing them play with a lead. Most of the time they were fighting just to keep us in games.

I gained a lot of respect for Diaz this year. He appeared to change some things. I still have some critiques but by and large he has his guys playing with an edge. To be able to pull that off while Richt was spraying napalm on everything in sight? Impressive.
