We sure we don't want Ponce to stay?

Ponce is more well known from his run game coordination at App state more than bring QB coach

Ponce last week on the sideline looked like he just found out his 18 year old kid wasnt his....hes cooked. Unless he can keep an off the field analyst spot if they go new oc i need the oc to bring in his guys and ship the riff raffs off...love Ponce as a Miami guy but got****

Cunningham had His best seasons under Ponce, and Brice was a JAG before He got with Ponce. I wouldn't mind if Mario gave Ponce a look, my only concern is Ponce's recruiting.

Cunningham had his best season under Ponce, huh?

I think u need to re-check ur history. Ponce had Cunningham in 2019-20.

2019:
2,065 yrds passing (2,547 total yrds)
62.6% completion
27 Total TDs / 5 ints (sacked 25x)

2020:
2,617 yrds passing (3,226 total yrds)
64.1% completion
27 Total TDs/ 12 ints (sacked 28x)

Now let’s compare Cunningham After Ponce left;

2021:
2,941 passing (3,927 total yrds)
62% completion
39 Total TDs/ 6 ints (sacked 20x)

This season he’s been in & out w/ injuries.

There’s no need to revise history b/c u like Ponce. Like I said, his QBs r turnover machines, he’s had one QB in coaching history even throw for 2,700+ yrds. U can get away w/ that chit at the G5 level, not P5.

Lu, that's the case sometimes but not necessarily how it's done. Hard to compare to an operation like Bama but O'Brien didn't bring his own staff. LSU Kelly, his OC didn't either.

Even when we finally modernized our offense with Lashlee, he didn't bring his own staff.

Imo we go and get someone like Dan Mullen as QB coach to run the offense and let him hire his WR coach of choice. Now if Smitty and Field don't want to get with what the new OC is trying to do, which I doubt would be the case, then Mario and OC can jointly hire a new TE/RB coach
Each situation requires its own analysis, sure. It depends on the dynamic of the HC.

When you have a CEO HC who isn't your technical lead (on either side of the ball), I believe you need an OC who has a few his own.

Perhaps I'm mistaken, but I was under the impression Lashlee brought over a couple of his own (Justice and Likens?).

I agree with that the OC should have a guy or two of his own, just not necessarily the whole offensive staff. Maybe a position or two and maybe a trusted analyst.

LOL, this man OC'd a 6K yd. offense, and we're throwing around red herrings for one position...unbelievable. Like dude took a scrub that flamed out at Clemson & Duke, and made Him into a 3K yd. passer, what more do you want?

I saw other people post this. Does anyone have a screenshot or time stamp during the game when this occurred?
