Lose out. Hear me out.

I know what your saying.. how does losing out benefit us? Tanking in CFB does nothing. Your 100% right but look at our situation like this.
Let's say we finish 9-3 and by some miracle finish 10-3 what does that do? SURE it will FEEL good but honestly what does it do long term? I'll tell you, nothing. If we make the ACC championship game we will be walking into another bloodbath and if we don't we'll probably be in the WorldCamping or Sun Bowl. What's worse is it will probably validates in Richt's mind that his play calling isn't the problem but instead it is thanks to better execution. That means another year of Richt calling plays and we all know Richt isn't a good enough play caller to lead us where we want to go.

Now, what happens if we lose out? The spotlight will the be on Richt in the off-season to make 4 Million dollar HC decisions. Say we finish 7-5 and our defense ends up in the top 10 then what does that say about Richt's offense? That should say CRYSTAL CLEAR to Richt that he isn't what he once was as a play caller and there needs to be major changes offensively because what we have in place isn't going to work even with a reliable defense. Not only that, but we will all know Richt's true intent of coming here based on those decisions. Is Richt here to actually win? or just to scratch the play calling itch he has had since giving up play calling duties at UGA. I for one would LOVE the answer to this question.

I'm sure some of you are saying "WHAT ABOUT RECRUITING!" Let's be honest, do you think we're getting Neal? Rique? Is Haselwood jumping for joy to play in this offense? Last time I checked we're 20th in recruiting so we're on pace to finish about 18ish. Golden and even Shannon, who were routinely going 7-6, were able to put together top 20 classes so our recruiting really won'take that big of a hit if we went 7-5 TBH.

I like to look LONG term. Going 9-3 will be great in the moment but going 7-5 could lead to changes that makes us a real threat to Clemson and the CFB playoff. The Elephant in the room is Richt's offense and we all know it. 80th in offense with studs like Thomas, Jordan, Homer, Dallas? GTFOH.

Ask yourself what do you really want? To go 9-3, maybe finish 10-3 with the likelihood of Richt returning as OC or-
Go 7-5 Richt gives up play calling, fires Searels (and maybe Richt Jr) and hires a more creative, innovative offensive mind?

I heard you out, now I need you to verify you're alive and well.

You do realize that if we're 10-3 that means we more than likely just beat Clemson in the ACCCG, right?

There's only one change that needs to be made and that's not happening. He's been forced before to give up play-calling and make specific hires. What did it change?

No way. That is worst case senecio Al Golden ****. We need to win out and go to Charlotte. Good recruiting can mask a lot of coaching issues.

You ask me what I want. I'll tell you. I want it all. I want to have my freaking cake and eat it too. I want to win out and see changes. I would like to go 10-3 and have people in charge that have the foresight and insight to see that this offense needs to be completely reinvented if we are to ever return to the college football elite. I want to win out, go 10-3 then see Searles, Richt Jr and maybe one more corch get the ax. Then I want this administration to get off their *** and get us a savage OC.

I really think Richt knows he has to get an OC. Of course he won’t say it in interviews and he can’t make a change Midseason but I think it will come. Last season, the offense wasn’t great but the program took a step forward and he probably had hope for the offense if a young QB stepped up and Oline play was better. It’s clear the issues are deeper and he’s not stupid. We’ll see

You asked a lot of questions there, let me ask you a few. When do we stop playing the long game? When do we stop treating our coaches like they're just some dude who's getting us a step closer? At what point do we actually get closer?

I'm sick and fcking tired of waiting 3 years just to start wanting the team to lose so the HC can get fired.

Richt doesn't look like the answer right now, but I'm done with this. I'm not rooting for losses, fck that. He's just going to have to get his sht together, because I fcking deserve a winning *** team to root for. He'll just have to do it because we aren't getting anybody else for at least another year and I'm not having this nonsense until then.

I'm trying not to say anything to you personally, but wanting the team to lose is some quitting-*** ***** bullsht. I get the argument, and it was fine with al, but enough is enough.

One bad recruiting class sets us back 4 more years. Can’t have it.

Clemson made the leap when they hired Brent Venebales to be their DC. They didn’t have to lose a bunch of games to see they needed the upgrade. We need to do the same on offense as Clemson did on defense. Go find an elite coordinator to take us to the next level....WHILE pulling in a great recruiting class.

Didn’t read the entire book you just wrote, but wouldn’t losing out mean 5-7 not 7-5?

You want a losing record and no Bowl game?

I mean, okay. The same people who want to great finish will be the same ones starting "fire Mark Richt" threads when Richt uses a strong finish to justify staying at OC and sinks our season next year.

First of all, if the team wins out it won’t be by some “miracle”. It would mean that the team would be playing better. The players would be “executing” and Richts game plan would be working. As for sitting around wishing and wanting a team to lose so that “changes” would be made, that’s just asinine. If I ever felt that way, I’d find something else to do on Saturdays.
