The reason (aside from personal reasons) I wanted Butch, was not only his evaluation talent...but because he'd have an A+ staff...CEO if ya will....Butch is aware of his limitations...so was Bowden,...thats why you put together 5* staffs...Dorsey would be our OC right now....Kenny LOVES Butch...It's criminal that Butch hasn't been our coach in the past 10yrs.....As for The "But..But"...he ran for the Loot-BS....Maannn put that **** too sleep....Both Howard and JJ ran 4.3s outta Hecht for the same MFing reason...Why they get a pass??...You do realize that Butch put as many, (if not more) AAs...1st rounders...and HOFers into the NFL than both combined....In only 6yrs....not the combined 10yrs of JJ & HS....and to be honest...it was Butch who shut it down for JJ in the recruiting game from 84-88...JJ will tell ya that today. So to a lesser extent, think of the talent Butch evaluated and locked down under JJ...and combine that with 95-2004, and what you have is unparalleled excellence...Spin it how ya want....and least not forget...4yrs of NCAA crippling Sanctions..to the point it was a F-ing Miracle you were able to hold a practice...(96..97)...FOH with UNC BS....The NCAA and UNC Prez 100% vindicated Butch....his buyout prohibited him from coaching for 3yrs...hence, Bucs consultant...ESPN analyst....FOH with that he wasn't/isn't an Xs and Os guy....His Defensive knowledge completely DESTROYS any DC in America....There's a reason that Nick Saban has said on record several times, "I coach with a Butch Davis philosophy"......

Yeah...the context was pretty much him asking someone "Hey...is it 4th down"??....no video....on TV...around the same time hiding his mouth with play sheet, and calling a Tuck and run on 3rd and 12....
 
I've noted before, I feel the loss of Malek Young will be one to note all season...and I do believe losing Bandy early was definitely an issue we were not able to address in the game...those two on the field and we never see Dean and the freshmen are allowed to develop without trial by fire.

Lose those two? We're in trouble opposite Michael Jackson.

One of the freshmen CBs need to step up and NOW is the time to get him much needed reps. I'd give Blades and Frierson some insane snap counts over the next three games.

Snark aside, it wouldn't have changed the outcome of that game but those kind of horsesh!t calls absolutely CAN affect games.

I know this sheet is BS because I can think of 2 incompletions Dean caused off the top of my head. The deep out on the sidelines and the quick-slant that he jumped.

Doesn't matter. Yall MF's act like Bandy never allowed a catch. Would he have helped? Perhaps. But he wouldn't have made a difference in the ultimate outcome of the game. This thread is silly.
