there was more to the update than just that...

it also stems from them knowing more than they said and/or lying to coaches

• This was absolutely eye-opening today, more evidence of the dramatically improved coaching: Demetrius Jackson, playing with his hand in the ground at defensive end, said "I am able to do things with my hands I couldn't do last year. [Defensive line coach Craig Kuligowski] is bringing more skill to the game. He is a great coach exposing us to the next level. I trust him because of his resume."

Jackson said the previous staff never taught him how to use his hands. Stunning, and an indictment of that staff.

Bingo. Had they just come clean, they would be practicing and probably have a 1-2 game suspension.

Yeah... I was just specifically commenting on the knowledge of possible punishment(s), not the acts/violations that led them there.

Caballero hasn't returned calls since, but his social media messages - posted on Canes message boards - suggest at least a familiarity with specific UM players."

Yall know as well as I do that AQM and Grace are both likely gone. Do you not pay attention to the way this university handles stuff like this? Every piece of news that comes out just sounds worse than the last bit.

LOL at dudes jumping on OP. This is far from over. Read the tea leaves. You got the two main guys--Grace and AQM--missing practice right around the same date where it was announced a week or so ago that they'd be meeting with UM officials.

I remember how Shalala used to handle things. Since the new President came in it's been totally different. Tell me I'm wrong

Richt is not a guy they can just bully around like they did the previous 2. Why you think the guy just donated a million of his own money? That to say, "im in charge". Unless these board members are going to match his donation, they can go sit down somewhere.

If they took impermissible benefits then they're ineligible. It's actually pretty simple math, and the new president has nothing to do with it.

I don't know if it's been determined whether or not they took those benefits yet. They could be claiming they paid for the cars, and UM might be trying to confirm that they did. Who knows what the arrangement was or what the kids are claiming happened? We don't.

Frenk can't just squash this if he wants to. This is public now, and they gotta do it the right way. Last thing we want is to play ineligible players and then forfeit our wins and perhaps a shot to play for the ACC Championship this year.
