We just got a lil thinner

Do you think we'll let him transfer in conference? How sad would it be if this kid ended up at FSU.

For real, our compliance people are NOT helping once again if this is true. Richt must be furious that he is getting zero support from the university. Different coach, same old crap from the university sticking it's nose where it don't belong.

You know the university isn't thinking about Grace or what's in his interest. It's all about THEIR image and covering THEIR asses.

I don't blame Richt for this at all. This is on the university 100 percent.

Maybe you should blame Grace for being a bonehead and putting himself in this situation to begin with. The school is just trying to protect us from NCAA repercussions, considering we are still on probation and all...

We always throw our kids under the bus. FSU/Alabama/SEC teams protect their kids.

Jimmy Johnson would have had the kid do some laps after practice and that would be the end of it

under probation. we sweep it under the rug and we get caught, were completely ****ed. after october, sweep it all under the rug for all i care

Not going to lie... The compliance staff would have turned the cheek if this happened at a school like sec or fsu, Miami trying to be mr goody two shoes is going to end up affecting us again

wasn't it the GF that ratted out the player to the school that is under probation for another 2 months?

The dude rented a car, wrecked it, can't pay for it? How is this a football/NCAA disciplinary problem?

Exactly. Christ, I'll pay for the **** car. But how about the university actually standing behind its own rather than throwing the kid under the bus.

Guess what, people make mistakes. Totally against the mindset of just throwing the kid away. Grace is a good kid.

Sounds like maybe he didn't pay for the rental either (i.e., illegal benefits), that's how it would be an NCAA issue.
Suspend him a couple games and move on. Suspending him the whole season is a joke. By suspending him a game or two you're showing that you are serious about NCAA violations and at the same protecting the players

To be fair, maybe the Herald and a certain part time correspondent should have been more discreet, rather than running a story on the whole deal before the school had finished their investigation. Once it was brought public, the school's hand was forced.

lol its an NCAA violation if you or anyone else pays for the car. he didnt rent the car, he was given the car for free is what the issue is. its a stupid rule but for a school under probation, you have to be smarter than that

Grace could be a nice player and have an NFL career but if he ****ed up and we have to give him the boot he'll only have himself to blame for the rest of his life. He's not going to be the difference in multiple wins and losses this year.

No compliance unconvered it and then young's ex girlfriend assisted in the investigation against him because of her being spiteful I guess

I'd rather kick off Grace then deal with a sledgehammer of NCAA sanctions again... Also quit that bs sayin he's transferring to FSU...
Gotta find a way to protect your guys at some point. I get protecting the program, but college kids are gonna do stuff, either find a way to protect them from some NCAA violation BS or just recruit a bunch of choir boys.

BS....that's the problem with people today. You give them the rules and when they break them, some just look the other way. Back in my day, you did something wrong, your parents would have your ***. Back then, I used to think my mother would literally kill me if I did some dumb stuff.

I used to play the, but so and so's parents only grounded him or her for however long, why am I in trouble longer or the I didn't even do anything routine. My mother would just say I should choose my company wiser and I don't care what they do in their house, you're in mine.

So whatever comes with this, I'm fine with it. It's Richt's house and there's zero doubt about his character as far as I'm concerned. He'll give the appropriate punishment.
