We Could use a transfer WR thoughts?

Feels like some of y'all don't understand how the Initial counters work and how that limits how many players we can take in per year. We can only take in 3 more guys either recruits or transfers since we signed 21 so far and used a 2021 IC for Jarrid Williams.

Big gaps in CB depth that needs to be filled. Offensive Line could still use upgrades. Even LB needs help. Maybe another edge rusher from the portal with Phillips and Roche gone to the NFL and our remaining DE being R-FR and FR.

I trust Coach Likens to develop the WRs and challenge them so no WR from the portal.

You know you can count transfers towards 2022 class...

We probably need an entire 2 deep of transfers. Looking at this past season the transfers were our best players and it wasn't close.

We need guys who have had a couple of years of real coaching to get us to that next level.

Would be nice to bring in a veteran sure-handed guy like Osborn if one's available but it pales in comparison to the desperate need for a LB, DE, CB, and QB is King leaves. I'd even look for another OL and DT ahead of even a decent WR if I had a choice.

We've got more pressing needs, but if the right guy happens to find his way into the portal, why not? I think we could use a nice veteran guy that can play the X spot. Maybe a nice fringe draft pick that wants to put himself into a higher draft spot, ala KJ Osborn. There has got to be some of those hitting the portal at some point.

If a consistent playmaker who can actually catch the ball pops up in the Portal & you have room, you definitely take one.

The real issue for next year at WR will be if there will truly be an open & fair competition at WR, if they allow kids like Keyshawn Smith, Michael Redding, Romello Bronson, Jacolby George etc a real opportunity to play & challenge for 1st team reps then we should be alright at WR, but if they stick with the Seniority over everything philosophy then we’re screwed.

Wiggz is not a good WR & does not under any circumstances deserve to be the shoo-in starter at X-WR, if it’s a fair competition in Spring & Fall camp he should be standing on the sideline for most of the year until he proves he can step up his game at a much higher rate, but if he’s already the guaranteed starter just based on the fact he’s an upperclassmen then it defeats the purpose of even bringing in all those WR’s in recruiting.

Miami has to evolve as a program & this staff needs cut that shît out about always deferring to Seniority, talent needs to shine, wtf is the point of having a WR room full of 4-star kids when none of them ever get to play until they’re Red Juniors?

Just put the best ballers on the field & let the rest figure itself out if not we’ll never get over the hump.

This is the biggest point. LSU, OSU, Clemson all play the best players. If you are the best player, you play. That simple.

Idk, I presume so, but I don’t know where his head is at given that he’s transferred twice in two years & for whatever reason can’t seem to get on the field.

I’ve read that he’s somewhat mentally soft & tends to check out when things get tough, idk if that’s true, but there’s at least circumstantial evidence that could suggest so.
